I think u misunderstood him...I dont think he is saying we are gods, nor do I think he is focusing on self, mystics like madam Guyon have written about these things using the NT for centuries.

We are to humble ourselves daily, exalting God and His Son, while learning the meekness and patience of our lovely Savior. "He must increase, and I must decrease." said John the Baptist. Anyone who begins to focus on themselves and seeks glory for themselves have no acquaintance with the Creator of this Universe. The Gospel of JEHOVAH is death to self, not the exalting of it.

The idea that we have are 'gods' is a terrible Satanic delusion which will send millions to eternal destruction. We are not gods, but pathetic sinners, who are made alive forever by the blood and power of Jesus Christ.
