"I am God and there in NONE like me, saith the LORD."
Quoting: A Voice In The Wilderness and just where exactly does this statement originate ???? Quoting: Sugarelf Isaiah 46:9 Quoting: A Voice In The Wilderness Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,now who exactly is speaking here ???? God, and NOT the Lord Quoting: Sugarelf The God of the Bible, the Creator, Lord, etc. All refer to JEHOVAH. "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens." Genesis 2:4 It is vital to understand that the term 'LORD' is the Tetragrammaton, as it's called. Anytime you see the word 'LORD' in ALL capitals in the Bible, in the original Hebrew it literally states 'YHVH', which is the original name of the Creator. This is where we get God's official name of 'JeHoVaH' and 'YaHVeH' for they are the closest to what the original name sounded like. The jewish people held the name of God in utmost reverence because it was HOLY. Thus, in common conversation the name of God, YAHVEH, was never uttered. In fact, YHVH was so holy to them(the fear of the Lord) that when the Hebrew Scriptures were translated into the Greek and our current languages, the custom remained and the translators used the term 'LORD' anytime 'YHVH' was present. Who is God? The LORD, JEHOVAH, the Creator of heaven and earth.
