Freckles (OP) User ID: 690497 Puerto Rico 11/04/2011 06:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's getting worse by the second!!!! ----------------------------------------------- "The agency has previously listed activities it says indicate possible secret nuclear weapons work by Iran, which has been under IAEA perusal for nearly a decade over suspicions that it might be interested in develop such arms. But the newest compilation of suspected weapons-related work is significant in substance and scope. The diplomats say they will reveal suspicions that have not been previously made public and greatly expand on alleged weapons-related experiments that have been published in previous reports on Iran's nuclear activities. It also comes as the drumbeat of reports about possible military action against Iran's nuclear facilities intensifies. Israeli President Shimon Peres said Friday that international community is closer to pursuing a military solution to the standoff over Iran's nuclear program than a diplomatic one." Every adult in this world knows that if you are going to make a threat... you had better stand behind it, or your word will not ever be taken seriously! OH MY GOSH! Quoting: Freckles Obama in truth is in complete alignment with fellow Shia Muslim Achmadinejad. When Obama announced unilateral U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan he effectively handed the victory in Iraq as a lateral pass back to the Iranians. Thus, there was literally major widespread dancing in the streets of Tehran upon Obama's troop withdrawal announcement. Obama's political relationship with Achmadinejad began even before Obama was President. Obama met with Achmadinejad over a two day period in Hawaii in mid-October of 2008 just a few weeks before Obama was elected President. Obama publically chastizes Achmadinejad while policy wise he and Hillary Clinton's State Department have lessened the screws on Iran since Obama took office. Iran was allowed to enrich uranium for a nuclear reactor, build the reactor, and load the fuel into the reactor all on Obama's watch. Under the present U.S. diplomatic policies, there is no real way to actually limit how much enriched uranium Iran manufactures and how much they devote toward making nuclear warheads. So...what's REALLY going on here? |

No war, 0bama is backing down and walking away with the USA's tail between his legs. That is the best thing the US can do. As much bravado and talk most Americans spit out of their pie holes day after day, a real war not one has the backbone for. Considering that the last war the US actually won was ww2; and that is debate-able, it would stand to reason all the chicken hawks know their place. I am actually looking forward to this war. All the soul less killers will sign up, and go fight, and die, leaving the rest of us to live in peace when it all settles. |

If they (Isreal)start bombing Iran, perhaps the russia, chinese turkey group will come to the aid of iran and blow up Isreal, freeing Obama from the bullying of Neti the Yeti. Obama will then be free to side with the russian group, establish a police state because of the war threat being waged in the east, and cancell elections. Welcome to the Obama cult of personality. |

Can't have a world war without a country that could take on the world, I don't see dem germanz anywhere? As for Iran... pfft. My guess is if anyone starts it Israel and Iran will be the first to dissapear. I just hope they both wipe each other out before the rest of us get hit with anything dirty and can atleast sit back and watch it. |

All merkel has to do is say germany has had enough, pull out of the EU and the house of cards falls. This sets the stage for germany to set up a new block, funded by germany, with germany as it's defacto ruler. Accomplishing what hitler couldn't, having the rest of europe come begging to join the new reich. |

I would expect to see some of these same Senators come forward and want to talk about the "back peddling" we saw today. -------------------------------------------------- Senators Want ‘Crippling’ New Iran Sanctions 92 Senators call for sanctions on Iran's central bank, despite risk of humanitarian suffering by John Glaser, August 09, 2011 A bipartisan group of 92 U.S. Senators signed a letter urging President Barack Obama to impose additional sanctions on the Iranian regime. “The time has come to impose crippling sanctions on Iran’s financial system by cutting off the CBI,” the senators wrote, referring to the Central Bank of Iran. The Senators, led by Mark Kirk (R-IL) and Charles Schumer (D-NY), promised “strong bipartisan support in Congress for the imposition of sanctions,” support that largely comes out of paranoia about an Iranian nuclear program for which there is no evidence. Freckles (OP) User ID: 690497 Puerto Rico 11/04/2011 10:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | JORISCH: Enforcing existing sanctions on Iran Nov 4, 2011 "In recent years, the United States has imposed a punishing sanctions regime on Iran’s banking sector. To further increase Tehran’s level of financial pain, a great number of congressional and advocacy groups have repeatedly called on the White House to blacklist the Central Bank of Iran (CBI). Doing so, the thinking goes, would seriously hamper the Islamic republic’s ability to abuse international markets in its pursuit of nuclear weapons. Yet unbeknownst to most lawmakers and Washington policymakers, the U.S. Treasury actually hasblacklisted the CBI, and not once, but twice in recent years. The real question is why the U.S. government has not enforced its own sanctions regime. Washington should begin implementing the SDN as soon as possible. At a minimum, Treasury should designate one or a number of the biggest offenders among those engaging in business transactions with Iran’s Central Bank. This would likely cause many, if not most, of the companies and banks currently doing business with, or on behalf of, the Central Bank to cut their ties. Policymakers in Washington are now keenly interested in imposing greater financial costs on the Iranian regime in an effort to derail its nuclear program. To do so, the need to target Iran’s Central Bank should be readily apparent. So, too, should the fact that levying real pressure on Iran’s most important economic construct is simply a matter of enacting already-existing restrictions and penalties. The Obama administration should do so without delay." [link to www.washingtontimes.com] |

Times Fri, Nov 4, 2011 "I wrote a few weeks ago that if the U.S. was REALLY serious about sanctions, putting sanctions on Iran's Central Bank would be crossing the red line on U.S. intent and desire on punishing Iran and its government. The impact would be immediate and devastating, a fact that the Iranians also know when they stated bluntly that such an imposition would be (in their eyes) a declaration of war. While I tend to dismiss most Iranian remarks as bravado .... these remarks I took serious.
