Southeastern Oklahoma EQ?

i was up at 2am and looked at usgs and there was a red box 4.9 in OK, now this morning its gone no blue box and there is another red box with 4.3 ????????????????????????

And AR was shaking all day yesterday.

It hit the Tulsa area and as far as Wagoner, and it wasn't several seconds. It was more like a minute. What is more interesting is at the EXACT time (2:13 am) an earthquake also hit in Chili. Any experts out there care to attempt to connect these two events?

As you can see on both the Leonard, OK seismo and our's, it is an underground explosion, a large one!!!


I took the glass stuff off my shelves and anything that could break, packed it away! Even took down glass pictures, nothing over the bed!

I live close to where the epicenter of the quake is. We felt the shaking go on for about 30sec to a min or so. Since we were laying in bed at the time we could feel the lesser vibrations through the ground (the ones that didn't shake the house). My boyfriend, who's from Cali and is used to earthquakes, even commented on how long it lasted. This is probably the third earthquake I've experienced here in OK over the years, this one being the most noticeable. It was a very interesting and fun experience. I woke up in a panic, thinking someone was trying to break down my door. lol.

There was also a 4.1 with the epicenter in Prague in Feb of 2010.

I felt and heard a loud thump here in SE OK in the Ouachita Mountain area. Then a hanging ceramic bell began ringing for 30-60 seconds or so. I also noticed some hanging light catchers gently rocking. Thought I'd been watching too many Ghost Adventure reruns. The cats weren't upset, so I figured whatever it was was not a threat. Glad to see it was an EQ, though.

Where are you in NE?

I'm in Ponca City and was in bed watching a movie with three dogs and three tortoises under the comforter with me.

I didn't feel anything but I guess the 6 animals did.

They all slept on top of me all night instead of their usual positions in bed.

I have little red marks from baby tortoise claws scratching into my legs.

Will check with neighbors if I ever get out of bed today.

Yawn.

According to iris.edu, the OK EQ was magnitude 5.2 at a depth of 4.9 km.

I had a feeling there was a quake coming.

I live in North Texas. They had been laying trails all day long so I was keeping a close eye on the sky.

As I was on my way to work at about 5pm I saw what I call a "Quake Cloud" in the sky.

Last time I saw one of these crazy colored things was when we had the quake down by Austin.

This has not been enhanced and its not lens flare. And there was no rain in the area..Just blue skies with trails.

Hi, friend.

I must have fallen asleep during the movie when it happened plus I have those sound machines that block out noise.

I sure have a hell of a headache this morning, for no reason I can think of.

My sis just called and she said it woke her up. She just moved back here after living in Calif the past 20 years.

She went through the Prima Loma and said this one scared her more because it lasted so long and of course occurred in tornado country.

I can't remember where Praque is. Is it near Lawton military base?

While reading this thread all kinds of loud airplanes were flying loud and low over my house. One said USAF.

I looked to my right and saw all kinds of military equipment going down Grand Avenue.

I forgot about Veteran's day and for a minute thought they were coming to haul us all away!

Now THAT shook me up!

I have seen some of those clouds here in s.e.sask, a few
