exactly. In my personal life, other than my selection of recreational activity, I am rather conservative but I also realize that I have no right to impose my personal beliefs on others, I can try to instill them in my children but my authority to mandate does not extend beyond my personal property and body.

We should be allowed to believe in anything we want to believe...

Freedom with no accountability isnt freedom.

Freedom is sort of vague value. For example if you have freedom of religion and one religion's dogma is to dominate and enslave non-members of their religion then this freedom is the cause of slavery for many.

Think about it.

We don't want to ban homosexuality, we just don't want the government to teach it as normal to our children. We do want to preserve traditional marriage. But if you want to have some sort of commitment ceremony, as long as you don't demand to me recognized by the state, then have at it.

And yes, we want to protect the lives of everyone, including the unborn.

I personally don't care what drugs you use, but some conservatives and some liberals do. If you look at where all the drug and alcohol laws originated from, it's the liberals and not conservatives.

When I was a liberal I wanted none of these things:

AMEN!!!! and you barely see any post of Americans complaining about the way things are in other countries. It's almost like this country is the mean popular girl in school that people can't stop talking about or constantly paying attention to her every move. They pay attention to every move just so they can criticize it to death. My opinion is that if see Americas' flaws then be grateful you don't live here and that you don't have to put up with it and move the fuck on.
