This is something I hold very highly in my life and thought it would be nice to share. You must walk the middle path to fully appreciate the beauty that surrounds you. Accept your life, no matter what faults you may have....you can change. You are change. Live the life you want to live.

We all live within a GIANT electromagnetic, hyper dimensional, quantum virtual bhater that literally responds to our emotional body and plays back to us that which we are. Choose the right vibrations to play back :D
And as for you and me.... the shifts in the masses collective consciousness continue to increase in amplitude, we can guarantee that the world will be a very different place in 10 years, 5 years, even 2 years. There are a multitude of Urgent, Critical and Crucial issues which our species and the Governing Structures of our Planet must confront.
It is time for this species to really get down to putting some thought into what our continued behavior will manifest as the future unfolds. If we allow ourselfs to run rampant and continue along the pathway that we are headed, we will short circuit this process and completely annihilate our entire developed level of civilization.

It is now time for you to begin to come together and put everything out into the open and on the table.

No, it means you're enlightened.
Banned as usual.

“It is far easier to be a weakling than to be a Real Man. Were the Earth less harsh or the circumstances of life less austere, man would destroy himself before the shrine of the languid goddess. Only Real Men can with safety destroy the tangled forests and wilderness of Earth and make from them gardens, but will those who inherit the gardens be Real Men? The law decrees that they must be, or the wilderness will reclaim its own.”

This will take some time to read through.. will do that later.
I had the chance to read part of it and it sounds like you would be getting to know your own system on a cellular level... this is not something a person can do in a week or two.. this will take years of dedication to the practice.

I have been practicing meditation for two years now, with loose dedication. I am nowhere near the path of enlightenment, but there is a purpose now....it's very fulfilling. A wave of peace and serenity has engulfed my being as of late, along with that however is a feeling of detachment from my surroundings....yet, it is accepted because reality is merely an illusory projection anyway. A mere "shadow" of energy, which pervades outward from the source.

Anyway, I'm done rambling, thanks for dropping in! Much respect.

peace

Re: Are you prepared for the afterlife? Bardo 1-3 of the Tibetan Book of the Dead
According to Therevada Buddhism, there are the six realms of Samsara.
They are:
-The Gods Realm
-The Demi-God Realm
-The Human Realm
-The Animal Realm
-The Hungry Ghost Realm
-The Hell(s) realm

Even though the upper three realms are the most desirable, it is not a set aim, because we must experience them all. The six realms all have some degree of suffering. Karma is primarily based on volition or intention. We sort through/gain the bulk of our karma in the "human" realm.

To achieve the most value out of life we must face extinction of the three poisons: greed, hatred and ignorance which lay at the center of the wheel of existence.

Once you have discovered the "path", their are four seperate stages.
-stream enterer
-once returner
-non returner
-arhat

The 5 aggregates of reality are:
-form (the body with its senses)
-feelings (pleasant, unpleasant, neutrality)
-perceptions (recognitions of reality)
-mental formations (emotions, etc.)
-consciousness

Our reality is simply an occurrence of various relationships, nothing is random. Our existence is based on a system of probabilities of what might occur.

The 5 precepts are:
-don't kill
-don't steal
-don't lie
-don't rape
-no intoxication

The path of illumination must include:
-view/understanding
-intention
-speech
-action
-livelihood
-effort
-mindfulness
-concentration

All religion is a trap. Yes, Tibetan Buddhism is religion by the way. Really all you are doing is spreading recycled mythology. Like Joseph Campbell says in his book 'The hero with a thousand faces',

Whether we listen with aloof amusement to the dreamlike mumbo jumbo of some red-eyed witch doctor of the Congo, or read with cultivated rapture thin translations from the sonnets of the mystic Lao-tse; now and again crack the hard nutshell of an argument of Aquinas, or catch suddenly the shining meaning of a bizarre Eskimo fairy tale: it will be always the one, shapeshifting yet marvelously constant story that we find, together with a challengingly persistent suggestion of more remaining to be experienced than will ever be known or told.

Your basic entry guide to Theravada Buddhism

In NO way am I claiming that I follow all of these, because sadly, it is very hard to live a good lifestyle being surrounded by the three poisons. Our culture is now based on Egotistical and materialistic gains. Realization of which direction i need to walk in though, was a great start. I am not suggesting you follow buddhism, christianity, hinduism, or any of the above. Sort through and FEEL what is right in life. Do not follow blindly, live and learn!

Re: Are you prepared for the afterlife? Bardo 1-3 of the Tibetan Book of the Dead
is this the benefits of drug use?5a

Based on experience, I would not suggest drug use of any kind. It only clouds the perception and makes the path more difficult.

Re: Are you prepared for the afterlife? Bardo 1-3 of the Tibetan Book of the Dead
...how is it a trap? I'm simply trying to help alleviate stress and loosen the bonds of our egotistical and materialistic society by spreading knowledge.
 Quoting: Moris Code

 Quoting: ChopinRocks

Touche. Agreed. However, researching into psychoneuroimmunology and metaphysics, i accept the Tibetan Book of the Dead to be of some value.

There is value of some sort in just about any dogma, one of the reasons why people are still followers. One of the reasons mind you. What's important to know about it is that there isn't any mysticism behind it, only human invention and, accordingly, should'nt be taken literally.
