BANE HAMMER User ID: 2184032 United States 11/06/2011 01:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ah boo. I thought you were talking Saiga 12ga. I already have a rifle (not a Saiga) that shoots a 7.62... I want a 12ga Saiga with a drum-magazine. Not to get off thread topic, (or is it?) but it truly is one of the most underrated over achievers. I've been working overtime on my DOOM equipment "GGF", late starter, kinda bummed. Sorry to get off topic too Dude, thats Lonestar Arms. I have one of his shotguns. If you plan on getting a Saiga 12, Mike from Lonestar is your guy. Spend the extra $ with him, well worth it. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1324356 United States 11/06/2011 01:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If the big japan quake had the plate dive under going westward, it stands to reason that there would be a pulling from the west to release the resulting pressure caused by the quake. while the california coast has been quite busy until recently with small eq's there has been nothing of significance to offset the energy pull of an 8.0. Could the japanese quake be what has woken up the mid-west? Quoting: cochise123 The release has to happen somewhere. Seems like a good point. |

Yikes, Jesus, please pour out your Divine Mercy and Holy Graces upon me, and all who seek your forgiveness. I have relatives in Broken Arrow, OK. Berkeley, CA shall become a ruinous heap. People think that line refers to DAMASCUS. But it has been mistranslated. The bible was referring to Berkeley, Ca and all its DUMB ASSES !! |
Zuzu (OP) User ID: 1509540 United States 11/06/2011 01:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is a fault line that runs through the middle of OK. You guys know this right? There was a 5.7 in OK 50 years ago. Nothing to see here folks. The largest quake in Ok was a 5.5 in 1952 [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] Tonights quake was a 5.6 a new record. It may not seem like much to you but those of us here who just experienced it, well it was a bit of a big deal. Proud to share the basket with you. |

Well hows bout we drive a big ole tornado of the OK variety, right through your backyard.... you know, run of the mill stuff for Okies. Bet you'd have to change your drawers... hehe.. give these folks a break. PLUS it's not normal there at all so might be leading to more and scarier. I just can't believe all the activity as of late. Better yet... let them deal with 100ºF heat for a month straight. See how those in L.A. dig that. True and true-er.....I went to Arizona in Aug once... it was freakin 117degrees!!!!!! no lie!!!! My dh was like isn't this great??? I was like... NO! Tumble weeds and sweat?....hmmmm NO!!! He said, but it's a DRY heat.... (right) roflmbo I live in AZ. LOL, it's not all the same all over the state. Much of it is quite high elevation and cooler, nice and dry. Where I'm at, perfect winter, occasinally a little snow and 50s during the day. Can't beat it really. But down in Phoenix.........YUCK!. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4696144 nice one. it does seem that there was a second smaller quake about 20 min. after but the first was still rumbling pretty good. and it is still moving. I swear my ears can still hear that low freq. We felt the small aftershock in Midwest City and in Choctaw I s'pose it was to small for the USGS to bother with. My son and I are also continuing to hear and feel that low frequency. Sort of a hum/rumble is the best I can describe it. My dog keeps popping her head up like she hears something then lays back down. I don't know if all of this means anything but for us it is surely unusual. Also, thank you for the seismo link. That is weird. That is TOTALLY weird you can still hear something. I'm getting freakin' scared and I'm not even there! Hear and feel it every once in while in Tulsa, OK too. Like a faint deep moaning. Almost like the sound of a tree limb before it snaps from too much weight. Can't sleep... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2778382 United States 11/06/2011 01:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is caused by fracking. Google earthquake and fracking. Shhhhhhh.... gas companies DO NOT want you to know about this. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1351648 Someone's paying attention. Yes fracking causes earthquakes but you do not know that this was the case here. There is tons of solar activity at the moment and scientists are making the connection between sun cycles and plate movement. Volcanoes are going off all over the place too, is THAT fracking as well? I think not.... Nope, and I cant prove the earth is round, the moon is made of cheese, the earth may not be spinning (hey man its not my hypothesis), the earth and/or moon is hallow... etc., etc., etc. BUT I can say its a high probability. As someone on another thead pointed out.. Steam Injection Hydraulic Fracturing could be the case. Or maybe godzilla is waking up in Ok. I have no clue.. |
