Catholic Inquisition
[link to www.archive.org]
with Ex-Catholic Priest Richard Bennett
60 min

The severity of torture and murder that took place under Papal authority during the 605 years of the Inquisition can now be revealed from the pages of history. From the beginning of the Papacy, until the present time, it is estimated by credible historians that more than 50,000,000, men and women have been slaughtered for the crime of heresy charged against them by Papal Rome. This Video contains actual photographs of some of the instruments of torture that were used.

From John Dowling's The History of Romanism Book 8 Ch. 1, p 542-543, "From the birth of Popery in 600, to the present time, it is estimated by careful and credible historians, that more than fifty million of the human family, have been slaughtered for the crime of heresy by popish persecutors, an average of more than forty thousand religious murders for every year of the existence of Popery." The main credible historians on the Inquisition, besides Dowling himself are Lea, Vancandard, Maycock, Coulton, Turberville and Scottâs Church History. The torture chambers of the Inquisition lasted 605 years and were found throughout the nations controlled by Rome. They had their beginning under Pope Innocent III in 1203 until the Inquisition's final dissolution in Spain and Portugal in 1808.

The DVD documents as well twentieth century atrocities of the Vatican working with Roman Catholic dictators such as Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler; Francisco Franco in Spain, and Antonio Salazar in Portugal. The most brutal and bloodthirsty of all was Anton Pavelic in Croatia four-year reign of terror.

1 In the LORD I take refuge.
How then can you say to me:
“Flee like a bird to your mountain.
2 For look, the wicked bend their bows;
they set their arrows against the strings
to shoot from the shadows
at the upright in heart.
3 When the foundations are being destroyed,
what can the righteous do?”

4 The LORD is in his holy temple;
the LORD is on his heavenly throne.
He observes everyone on earth;
his eyes examine them.
5 The LORD examines the righteous,
but the wicked, those who love violence,
he hates with a passion.
6 On the wicked he will rain
fiery coals and burning sulfur;
a scorching wind will be their lot.

7 For the LORD is righteous,
he loves justice;
the upright will see his face.

"White privilege" is the liberal religion's version of Original Sin: you are born guilty, and you carry that burden of guilt all your life, and the only way to escape eternal damnation is for white people confess their sin, to bow, kneel and believe the dogma of the Church of Liberalism, genuflect at its altars, honor its saints, fill the collection plate, and never, ever doubt.

I believe the homeless spirits are much more advanced than most of us are. They are far from pathetic, sad and victims like most believe. We could learn much from them.

Religion by definition is Human made and thus prone to Human errors. You can't argue with an Ideology, a way of life, a belief...

Remember this and just let it be.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1377328

Agreed completely. Yet good men and women still fight and die over these very beliefs every day.

"Let it be" is exactly why this continues. Like Pharma poisining good people. Like banks and corporations putting families into debt for life.

So you are blaming religion for the killings? You got that wrong my dear. Over history and even today, religion is just another man-made reason people are using to kill one another. If it wasn't for religion, it would be over racism, or over another idealogy for the underlying purpose of money, power and conquest in the NAME OF GOD! You see what i'm getting at? You are blaming religion when religion is made up by humans? why not blame the source itself... HUMANS!!

Yes, and all flood myths tell of a different story, so that tells you that people tend to exageratte and blow things out of proportion. If you believe that the God of the Universe, creator of all life, came down to fight along the Hebrews in battle with their enemies, you sir don't know how to interpret mythology in the correct manner.

I don't know anything about mythology. I do know why there is such a thing as Hebrew people and you apparently do not.You don't have a clue in the world that the people the Hebrews fought were not their enemy, rather they were the enemy of the God, YAHWAH as they were children of Hasatan.

The flood stories are ALL THE SAME, mr. moran, they merely have a cultural slant that is told from that countries point of view.

Should I also believe fishes talk?

"One morning water for washing was brought to Manu, and when he had washed himself a fish remained in his hands, and it addressed these words to him: 'Protect me, and I will save thee.' 'From what wilt thou save me?' 'A deluge will sweep all creatures away; it is from that I will save thee.' 'How shall I protect thee?' The fish replied, 'While we are small we run great dangers, for fish swallow fish. Keep me at first in a vase; when I become too large for it, dig a basin to put me into. When I shall have grown still more, throw me into the ocean; then I shall be preserved from destruction.' Soon it grew a large fish. It said to Manu, 'The very year I shall have reached my full growth the Deluge will happen. Then build a vessel and worship me. When the waters rise, enter the vessel, and I will save thee.'

"After keeping him thus, Manu carried the fish to the sea. In the year indicated Manu built a vessel and worshipped the fish. And when the Deluge came he entered the vessel. Then the fish came swimming up to him, and Manu fastened the cable of the ship to the horn of the fish, by which means the latter made it pass over the Mountain of the North. The fish said, 'I have saved thee; fasten the vessel to a tree, that the water may not sweep it away while thou art on the mountain; and in proportion as the waters decrease thou shalt descend.' Manu descended with the waters, and this is what is called the descent of Manu on the Mountain of the North. The Deluge had carried away all creatures, and Manu remained alone."

If you wanna read deluge myths from around the world, here, have a blast

well blank stare (lights on, nobody home?)

I have read the new testament in the 1611 King James and do not recall that statement. The Apostle Paul had a face to face with Yashua so there is no "if" about it except that it is surely out of context and rubbish.

Because you have such a witty retort we should believe you because what? You were there to experience it? I dont read a J.D. Salinger book and believe that its true. They are characters based on fiction. The earth was not created 4000 years ago and nobody parted the Red Sea. This is common sense fiction that an intelligent person could plainly see. Apparently when you evolved from that monkey, god left your head up your ass!
Im not a writer, its not something someone can make up on the spot. They put in the book what the want to put in it and I would love to read to rough draft.

it has been asked and none has been provided. why bother asking anymore when you know the answer will be about faith and belief? Around 300BC the Greek Epicurus showed the concept of a all seeing, all knowing and all powerful god was false, yet people still want to believe in something. hey thats fine, for the most part in the 20th and 21st century we can ignore them.

i see religious followers like a child who believes in the tooth fairy, and continues to do so even after they've seen mum or dad putting the money under pillow.

only if you never investigated religions...

Mohammad spoke of visions he was given...
Buddha took the middle road after experimenting the others
Confucius said not to ask him questions concerning an afterlife as he couldn't solve the problems in this one.
All religions look to or point to someone else.

Yashua said that HE was YAHWAH, there is no other. Yashua said that His blood covered us. Yashua was voluntarily sacrificed to redeem all man kind (Dr. Ravi Zacharias born in Deli, India is a Christian apologist) Not just Hebrew, but all mankind is invited. Yashua walked out of the grave after spending three days preaching to the lost souls in Hades and the protected ones in Abraham's Bosom (Paradise). Yashua ascended or returned back to His original place in the third heaven. Yashua will return when the "court case" of the ages has presented its final evidence, the cup of iniquity is full, and the harvest (of mankind)is ready.

You really should look into finding out about this GOD/man Yashua who spoke everything into existence then could bow down low enough to walk among His own creation.

in other words, why should we believe this made up stuff by the greeks who 1. are bankrupt, 2. don't even understand their own mythology, 3. think the greek philosophers knew anything when they delighted in drinking poison and dying. That is really with it.

My question to people that believe in a christian god is, "so, you are right and all other gods of people are wrong?" Never once have I gotten a good or even an answer that I would consider to have come from someone over 5 years old. Just because your not smart enough to answer a question like "how big is the universe"? or "whats past the stars", do go teaching the youth of our planet that its cool to be ignorant.

If you believe in the big bang then that's your creator right there. Call it whatever you fancy, matter wasn't always here, something created it and as we evolved from matter then that something is our creator too.

I don't mean to push my concept of God onto others, but to say there's not a creator and then talk about the big bang, I think you're just getting caught in semantics here.
