Why the owl in the occult?
Why is this symbol everywhere? What is it really telling us? Is it the wisdom? Is it the vicious nature and cold eyes in the night?

Does this occult go back to the earliest times?

Jeremiah 32:35:

And they built the high places of the Ba‘al, which are in the valley of Ben-hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire l’Molech; which I did not command them, nor did it come into my mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

We see it everywhere. On our dollar, How? Why? What is it we do not know of our own country?

What is it that “they know” that you do not, as least as such pertains to the Occult and Occult symbols? Why would a group of seemingly rational grown men get dressed up in costumes and light a fire to an Owl?

What is the intent of such a ritual? From where does the Owl have value and is the Owl being used for a negative purpose, or is this ritual part of an admixture of evil (Setian) with good (Osiris/Isis), and the good uses the symbols as a show of force in the face of evil equally? The owl, of course, has come to symbolize wisdom, and so the properties of the owl as a product of nature are then fused to the Occult as referenced by Higgins.

Re: Why the owl in the occult?
Moloch (representing Semitic מלך m-l-k, a Semitic root meaning "king") — also rendered as Molech, Molekh, Molok, Molek, Molock, or Moloc — is the name of an ancient Semitic god. Moloch was historically affiliated with cultures throughout the Middle East, including the Ammonite, Hebrew, Canaanite,[1] Phoenician and related cultures in North Africa and the Levant.

As a god worshipped by the Phoenicians, Moloch had associations with a particular kind of propitiatory child sacrifice by parents. He figures in the Hebrew Bible (II Kings 23:10; Jer. 32:35, etc) and has been used figuratively in English literature from John Milton's Paradise Lost (1667) to Allen Ginsberg's Howl (1955). In modern English he is often used to refer to a person or thing demanding or requiring a very costly sacrifice.

Do you remember the movie The Fourth Kind. It seems we may be programmed to view certain things in a more benign way. Like an owl.

Yes because the ancients being fairly dumb themselves thought of the owl as wise.
Because it would see and find and come and pounce on a mouse a mile away.
Surely it must be smart and wise right? It has a sixth sense?
Being able to do that?

Well no, it just has really really good long distance vision.
But its vision is fairly shitty for anything else.

The modern West generally associates owls with wisdom. This link goes back at least as far as Ancient Greece, where Athens, noted for art and scholarship, and Athena, Athens' patron goddess and the goddess of wisdom, had the owl as a symbol.

Its not its eyes its its neural processing method which makes its vision great for long distance at night kind of like a rifle scope with night vision.
But it really has lousy vision for anything else it can not even see a lizard right next to it.

If you were to look out through a window into an owls natural habitat and it was looking back at you would you find it threatening? Probably not.
What if what you're looking at is what you have been programmed to see and not wht it really is.
Why have so many cultures given similar credence to the owls abilities to bring secrets and knowledge.

That's bullshit the owl has long been associated with a bad omen that's where its basis comes from.

Re: Why the owl in the occult?
The owl symbolism has NOTHING to do with Molech, which is a bull. That information has been circulating since "the loud mouths" incorrect interpretation of the Bohemian Grove owl and to be perfectly honest, I think that he did that on purpose, as it subverted the true meaning and what was happening in the ritual, so much so that people are STILL referring to the owl as Molech.

The owl is a symbol of wisdom. Thus the term "wise old owl"...The owl is almost always depicted with or in conjunction with the Goddess figure and could best be explained like "the holy spirit" (not suggesting that the concepts are one-in-the-same) The owl is the hidden wisdom, the gnosis that only a few have come to the knowledge of. Perhaps a better way to explain would be to say that the owl represents the imparted knowledge and wisdom OF the Goddess and is written about extensively in Kabbalistic material. It is probably one of the more important figures to the Mystery School knowledge base. It is shown frequently on emblems or symbols relating to collegiate sororities and fraternities for the obvious implications.

Molech is probably one of the older deity figures and has ALWAYS...I repeat ALWAYS been represented as a bull. It is mentioned in the bible, in relation to the "idol" that the Israelites were worshiping when Moses came down from the mountain and I believe mentioned again in the new testament.

The key here is to DO THE RESEARCH. Then and only then can these esoteric symbols be brought to light, rather than being hid in the light of illumination for only a few to understand.

One day I hope to be, but probably not in the way that you are thinking. Wisdom, Eldership and Understanding...and more often than not, that takes a lifetime. Knowledge is my first love and through that comes the rest.

It is apparent in the namesake I was given, that this has been my destiny before I came into this world.

Re: Why the owl in the occult?
Can someone then please tell me; what does it mean when one see owls all the time, every day?

For the last month, every day, I see owls in the oddest places: in pictures, on jewelry, carvings. Yesterday, glanced over at the car next to me and what do they have on their bumper sticker? An owl.

My gut is telling me that this is a good sign, that it is a message to convey that I need to have wisdom and better sight. But my mind says that this is a bad omen that evil is coming and that this is God's way of trying to warn me.

What do you think?
