A black hole that was large enough to persist for several minutes would have enough mass that nothing could contain it, and it would sink into the Earth. Such a black hole could not be created at CERN in the first place, because it would involve squeezing a substantial amount of matter, several picograms of it, and CERN doesn't operate that way. |
