Armageddon Boots
Hey GLPers,

Need Your Opinions! You are getting dressed for Armageddon. What pair of shoes or boots do you strap on before you march into the Apocalypse?

depends on your location
Would not wear the same boots in a Sahara apocalypse as in a Arctic apocalypse
I know a thing or two, because I've seen a thing or two.

These seem to have been updated just a tad since I bought mine...all reviews are pretty high.

Re: Armageddon Boots
Hmmm- I was looking at the Doc Marten boots and they all seem to have a stitched down sole. That might be good if they had to be the last boots for a LONG time- stitch some tire tread on the bottom if needs must.

Re: Armageddon Boots
Rocky Boots, that brand has been around for a long time, I had a pair of their hiking boots in the late 70s.

I just got a pair of Adidas "Trekker" boots at a discount place here, a style from a couple of years ago, they kick ass, they have the best tread on the bottom for ice that I've ever had, can't wait to wear them on my trip this January to visit the frozen northern plains.

Someone mentioned Sierra Trading Post, there's a web site to avoid if you want to hang onto your money :-) they have way too much cool stuff. A lot of it's really high-end stuff so even though it's marked down it's still expensive - but really nice stuff! High quality and some great deals.
