bad taste in my mouth User ID: 17375965 United States 06/09/2012 06:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pizza hut is the worst pizza, all the major chains are better and thats not saying much. It can be eaten only fresh out of the oven. But it hasn't had taste in almost 10 years. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1596579 You said it friend!!! Went there to get a pizza about 2 yrs ago and got a medium pizza with extra cheese, thin crust, 3 toppings and it was like 22 buks. Ok....then when we go to eat the pizza, the crust was crunchy, and the pizza had no taste....no one wanted to eat it......tried to go online to send corporate an email and it was not cooperating which tells me they don't want complaints!!! Will NEVER go back EVER!!!! Always loved papa johns pizza and i am done with them too. Don't tell me they aren't using fake mozzarella now....you can taste the difference. Doesn't even taste at all like mozzarella!!! Will try some mom and pop pizzas from here on out....done with these guys! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 20048351 United States 11/01/2012 09:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I thought it was 'just me' there for awhile too. But then I pretty much figured it was either a "cost cutting" thing or a "healthier options" stupid decision. If people are eating pizza to BEGIN with, chances are that pizza places aren't going to stay in business catering to HEALTH FREAKS. We WANT the grease, the fried dough and the 'spare no calories' goodness of a divine pizza! Does it not make SENSE that by going back to the ORIGINAL recipe of that which people knew and LOVED would actually makes SENSE and make business (and the competition) boom again? I would rather have a good quality (non GMO, non "fake" ingredients and non HEALTHY) pizza than it's cheap quality imitations out there! And Dominoes, Little Caesars & others come to mind here. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 20048351 United States 11/01/2012 09:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Me again. If CEO's REALLY gave a rat's aS$ what their customers thought- they would at least put COMMENT CARDS on their restaurant tables as well as in their pizza delivery boxes. With the infamous question "would you be more likely to eat here more often if we went back to our ORIGINAL recipe?" (A thousand times YES!) Then they could also add questions like "do you want Priazzo back?" (YES I DO!) Questions like that! |
Give Pizza Chants User ID: 6733463 United States 11/11/2012 12:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | All chains seem to have gone downhill over the years. I was amazed when Domino's said they changed a lot of items. I thought great, that pepperoni on the last pizza was disgusting. But it seems they changed everything but, and not for the better. I don't really mind chain pizzas, except Little Caesar's; it shouldn't be legal to call it food. I eat Papa John's all the time. Their dough is awesome. |

Remember that buttery crust that was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Its gone, it has been replaced by processed cardboard!! I have the inside scoop on what happened. Pizza Hut has a corporate office in Plano TX and someone I went to high school with works there in a high position. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1493908 Lastnight I posted on my facebook how bad the pizza tasted and I said it didn't taste the way i remember it as a kid. Lots of people chimed in, and then I saw the red indicator at the top of my screen. It was the person I went to high school with. She sent me a personal message and said blame papa johns for taking a majority of their customers for a lower price. Pizza hut has had to cut a lot of expenses so they are using frozen dough now that is MASS PRODUCED in a factory that also has contracts with WONDER BREAD LOL!!! She said they were using Bob Reeds Mill flour, organic powdered milk, and the tomatoes were also organic!! Well the flour is really expensive, I buy it every now and then, it is also organic and expensive but now the frozen crust is using ole fashioned self rising flour. She said the old pizzas were on average 3.77 to make but now the cheap ones are 1.12 on average to make. Poor Pizza hut!!! Who'da thunk it, Pizza Hut can't afford to make their raw organic dough anymore LOL!!! For those of you who were wondering if the dough changed, it has! I make pan dough in a mixer every time I work. Some higher volume stores do use frozen dough, but would you want to make 200 individual balls of dough, weigh it out, roll it though a rolling press, spray with nonstick food release and proof it for 1& a half hours? McDonald's uses frozen foods, and I know the frozen dough doesn't taste like cardboard, source:myself ( btw it is called commercery dough) |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5022366 If thats true.....papa johns is too.....you can tell the difference....i kid you not! They use silicone in their cheese. You shouldn't be eating that garbage. Anonymous Coward User ID: 27680976 United States 11/13/2012 03:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I will have to check it out, I just googled it and theres one about 10 miles away. I hope its reminiscent of pizza hut as you say because i relly miss that old crust Jet's is the only pizza we eat! Sometimes I order the deep dish square with only butter brushed on it when it comes out of the oven. Then they cut it like bread sticks. The only thing they should do differently is lower their prices a little bit. If anyone has the recipe for their deep dish dough, please pass it on. |

I haven't been to Pizza Hut in probably 10 years. I haven't eaten at Taco Bell in over 5. KFC makes my stomach wince just thinking about it.... The funny thing is their commercials make me hungry pizza? I get real pizza. Hungry for tacos? I make real tacos. Chicken is good! That's why I don't eat their chicken... I actually like fried chicken. |

Quoting: indiandave I agree, but if you don't live in the Northeast, you won't get that kind of pizza. You can't swing a cat here without hitting at least five of those mom and pop places. I love NJ/NY pizza. "When tyrants tremble in their fear, and hear their death knell ringing, When friends rejoice both far and near, how can I keep from singing" page7 |
LostPHcustomer User ID: 18640227 United States 11/16/2013 08:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So sad that Pizza Hut changed their recipe! They have always been my favorite since I was a kid participating in their "Book It!" program. They've lost me as a customer. I am a pharma rep and used to order hundreds of dollars of pizza a week for office lunches. Not anymore. I use Papa Johns or the local mom and pop pizza places. For the record, DOMINOS new pan pizza tastes a lot like the old Pizza Hut pan pizza. Not the same, but its close! |

Sure, I do miss the way it tasted in the 70's-80's But I worked there 10 years ago as a "cook". I used that term loosely. For the pan pizza they start out with about a cup of oil (basically a big squirt bottle). Then they throw in frozen dough and put a plastic lid over it for it to thaw. They stack these on top of each other. Ever go to a pizza hut and they say they are out of pan pizzas? That is why...they miss projected the amount of pizzas they would sell that day. At least they wont have any to throw away. |

Why should I wait 90 minutes for Pizza Hut pizza that tastes like shit and costs more? |

I have not had Pizza Hut pizza in years. Don't understand why anyone would order from them to begin with. We have shit Mom and Pop pizza here. Flavorless shit. Domino's tastes better. There's your reason for what you don't understand. 3 local places that suck. |
