Re: JIM ROGERS On CNBC: 100% Chance of Crisis, Worse Than 2008
I still think they'll try to use massive QE to push this thing into the future. It is def inevitable though. I agree there.
 Quoting: Punk-A$$ets

yep...it will be multiple stages of chaos/crashes IMO. The coming crash will dwarf 2008...the FED printing will also dwarf the previous printing...the side effects will also dwarf 08 and so on...also I think it will work less and less time.

We then get another crash in say late 2013 or 2014 or so that in-turn dwarfs the coming one...

At some point it DOES end of course...probably in all out war.

The future is unpredictable from day to day...so it's impossible to know the long term. All I can say is...I never imagined 3 years ago, we would be where we are now. Just take the blows as they come and enjoy the ride the best you can!

with all that dwarfing going on, where does that leave Snow White?

Not really shocking to us here at GLP, but:

100% Chance of Crisis, Worse Than 2008: Jim Rogers

The world is definitely going to face another financial crisis stemming from problems in Europe, Jim Rogers said Wednesday.

"We're certainly going to have more crises coming out of Europe and America; the world is in trouble. The world has been spending staggering amounts of money that it doesn't have for a few decades now, and it's all coming home to roost," Rogers, CEO and chairman Rogers Holdings told CNBC.

He added that the crisis would be much worse than the one markets saw in 2008 because the debt is much higher now.

Oh my... well... I honestly think, Martial and this is some 'doom' that we will be seeing and very soon! Honestly, this is the type of "doom" that I think will rock our world greater than the "doom predictions" of astroids and aliens.

Scary stuff here! Great post!

OK for real to reign back in the dereailment of Martials Thread. Check this out. jefferson County Alabama Muni's just went down. It's on the main.

Nick®
I'm not a Bama Fan but that's a BIG county.
 Quoting: Nickadeemus

Good. Let those tards burn. That's what they get for borrowing $3 billion for a new sewer and then pissing it all away on jewelry and fancy suits.

My friend Nick, who by the way, declines the royalties owed to you through your copyright, should have listened to me and moved to the country years ago. Now, he gets to pay $200 a month for his water, while I pay $24.

Jefferson County Commission votes 4-1 to file nation's largest municipal bankruptcy
 Quoting: Revbo™

I was wondering when they were putting it in, how in the hell they were gonna pay for it. 3 billion though man? I'd have made sure the civil services company that put that sewer pipe in, could guarantee me that every six months a new turd would pop out of a test port and miraculously turn into a new twin engine sesna.

Nick®
 Quoting: Nickadeemus

chuckle @ Magic Cessna Turds.

I lived in JeffCo when this was all going down, and I bitched about constantly. Everybody just always wants to "do something," so it was a pretty easy sell.

Hell, Larry Langford sold the whole county on a freakin' theme park, FFS. In the midst of all this sewer debt crap, they want to build UAB a FOOTBALL STADIUM. $78 million, and they're averaging about 3000 folks a game this year.

There is no end to the level of economic idiocy of the average Jefferson County resident.

The good news is, if UAB continues on their current attendence track, I win $500 in 2023, and another $100 if the team ceases to exist. Of course, $600 won't be squat in 12 years, but it's the principle of the thing.
 Quoting: Revbo™

We can technically say Jefferson county is wiping its ass with 3 billion. It blows my mind.

My favorite part, is all the hoity toity women who have bought into the whole "you don't need a man. Be strong and independent!" garbage. The ones driving their government jobs, with great pay, benefits, pensions, etc... The ones driving luxury vehicles, with perfect nails, perfect hair, perfect accessories, perfect comfort, and perfect security.

NOTHING will be more priceless than see these types jump started back into reality.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5052648

Careful. We are not all as we appear. I look like one of those women when I accompany my husband to company functions, but I am anything but that. It is all a bit of theatre.

With that said, I know exactly the women of whom you do speak. The only thing more worthless than the women you speak of is their weak, whimpering saps for husbands who cannot think beyond the next tee time & the next double cheeseburger he wil pop into his pot bellied, bloated, ruddy faced body.

Had a close encounter with a guy like that when we lived in Dallas. He confused my appearance with who I am & thought I would be an easy con job. When I was finished with him, he called my husband at work to tell him him how mean I was. Pathetic.

Global Economy at the Tipping Point

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Europe is heading for recession. China is battling its own economic demons. And with the United States also facing problems at home (9% unemployment anyone?), it's hardly in a position to help.

Without a white knight to step in and save the day, will we all go down together?

Europe got into this mess by aborting and birth-controlling their children into non-existence. The aborted and non-born children were the financial base upon which the security of their parents was to be based.
There is also, of course, the total neglect of the historic Christian prohibition against usury, and fiat banking and fractional reserve banking are hyper-usurious in the extreme; yet, for a while, it gives the appearance of prosperity; but that is the nature of sin, pleasure for a season; followed by .... pain, as consequence.
God does not work retributively, but we do reap consequences , don't we?
