I tried it once.

Was a bit like taking a psychedelic.

Created a similar state.

If you do too much yoga, or try too hard at new age stuff, it activates a snake at the bottom of your butt, and the snake goes up your spine and if deviates a little bit from it's trajectory it's causing all kind of psychadelic problems.

Check out "Kundalini syndrome".

Re: How come nobody talks about Kundalini anymore
.

I never said it was a bad thing.

And i only tried it once.

Like literally one time, for just over an hour.

I may be a cynic but i think the way it works form my very brief glimpse of it, is to create a similar state to psychedelics, only without having to ingest anything.

Now i do believe there is much to take away from psychedelic experiences however you get there.

but i also think to make useful sense of any psychedelic experiences requires down time, as in time spent sober, or it is possible to lose focus.

Maybe this is why some kundalini and meditation people can seem a bit crazy.

Not saying that they ARE crazy , just saying that to integrate things experienced in such a state into normal life requires you to have one foot in each world, not both in the psychedelic or spiritual or subconscious-awake or call-it-what-you-like realm.

But to be fair i am only basing my opinion on a single kundalini experience so really i am not very qualified.

Kundalini might be something i will try again, but if i do i will surely ignore any dogma and belief structure that goes along with the people who present/ teach it.

Becuase i think th state it evokes could leave one very open to suggestion and influence of other peoples ideas and beliefs.

Maybe better to use the PRACTICE to work thinkgs out for yourself.
