We saw something strange on the MOON on Sunday
Hello

The moon has been in full bloom recently. When I went to my friends house, I egged him to bring out his very old telescope. Mind you my friend doesn't believe in nothing that he hasn't seen. While I was looking at the moon, I first spotted a unmistakable line that was angled up from the surface. Think of the moon as a flat surface like a clock. This line jutted out on the edge like a pimple and formed a pyramid. So one side of this pyramid was such a straight line.
This was at the 3 o clock position.

So I started to really look hard at the edges. at the 1pm position, I noticed a strange crater. Think of this crater like an apple with a slight bite out of it. The crater though had two structures in it similar to the look of mushrooms with thin tops. One top to the right was much longer than the other on an end. I believe that if you look at this crater from a top view. The plates of the structure would hide it from view.

Also, I couldn't tell if another structure was to the front or rear of that crater structure but it was very close to it. This structure was tall and from my distance looked like a needle with a little bulb head stuck in the ground. So that thing has to be massive in size.

For the first time looking at the moon through a telescope, it left my friend speechless. He tried the next day on his own to see the stuff again, But most of the structures rotated out of view. He could barely see the pyramid though.

Now I want to get a newer modern telescope for Xmas so I can try to find more strange things.

Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Ummmmm ,,,,

The moon does NOT rotate my friend,,

The side facing us,,,

ALWAYS faces us.

Each time a person stands for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he or she sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. And crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. Few are willing to embrace the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change. Its pretty simple to think about if you see the face of the moon during one season and then the opposite season you see the face still then, it has to have rotated.... Its not hard to think about... It why we only see one face because it always rotating so we see it's face all the time... Logic really... If it didn't spin, when you get to other side the dark side would show....

seasons and our moon have nothing to do with its lack of rotation. Our tilt changes thru the seasons affect where we see if coming up etc though

It is called Gravitational Lock. The moon takes 28 days to make one orbit around the earth and rotates on its axis one time during the orbit. So the same side is facing earth at all times. Jeez, did you not pay any attention during your High School science classes!!!

There was no full rotation. It just moved a little where the pyramid was barely seen. The items were on the edge of vision so a slight movement was all that was needed to obscure those items.

Hey, the same side does face us but it or we moved enough to hide what was seen. Even when I was using the scope it was hard to keep it in position because of our and its movement.

Get a telescope and look at something on the corner and see if you can see it the next day.

Yes it does. The Moon (and most of the other moons in the Solar System) are tidally locked to their primary. That means the period of rotation (turning about an axis) is the same as the period of revolution (orbiting about the primary).

Prove me wrong! Show me the photos of an entire years' worth of full moons that show the exact same side... pfft

The Moon does rotate. In fact, the Moon takes 27.3 days to turn once on its axis. But the Moon also takes 27.3 days to complete one orbit around the Earth. Because the Moon’s rotation time is exactly the same amount of time it takes to complete an orbit, it always presents the same face to the Earth, and one face away.

Re: We saw something strange on the MOON on Sunday
Here is why you saw a difference. First, go outside and look up at the moon, notice where it is at exactly 10:00 pm. Now do this every night for a week. What you will see is that each night at the same time the moon is in a different place in the sky. If you were to do this for a full 28 days you would see it "step" across the sky from one horizon to the other. You would also see it go through a full cycle of moon phase from full to new and back to full. If you pay attention you would also notice that the week before a full moon and the week after, the moon is illuminated on the east side or the west side. As the moon circles the earth during it's 27.3 +/- day cycle each night you look at it you are seeing it illuminated from the sun at a slightly different angle. So, say you look at the moon and see a mountain range sticking up on the edge of the moon. You look for it a day later but don't see it. That is because as it rotates around us with the same face towards us the sunlight is striking it at a different angle and that mountain range is now in shadow and you can no longer see it.

Try this experiment to help you understand how this works.

Take a large ball, like a basketball, use some glue or a piece of duct tape to attach something like a wine cork or large eraser. Now go outside when it is dark and turn on a cars headlights. Stand about 50 feet directly in front of the headlights facing away from them. Have someone stand about 10 feet in front of you facing you and the headlights. Have them hold the ball in front of them with the cork/eraser at a 90 degree angle to the right or left so it looks like it is sticking out of the side much like the mountains sticking out of the side of the moon. Now here's the important part. Have that person slowly walk around you but keeping the same side of the ball facing you with the cork/eraser in the same spot. As they go around you you will see the cork/eraser go in and out of light and shadow. The headlights are the sun, you are the earth, the ball is the moon, the cork, eraser is the mountains on the moon. The changing angle of the light gives the illusion that the mountains have moved but they are still in the same spot. It's just weather or not you can see them. So yes we always see the same side of the moon.
