Re: Anyone think the "Thrive Movement" is a scam?
Any movie or movement that calls for...

1- Ceasing of bailouts to banks and corporations
2- The dismantlement of the FED and the money multiplier / reserve banking system worldwide
3- Withdrawing support from the IMF and the World Bank
4- Allowing the development of alternative currencies and banks
5- Refusing international taxes
6- Getting informed
7- Speaking up and connecting with others
8- Banking locally
9- Buying and investing responsibly
10- Joining a coalition to keep the Internet fair and open
11- Supporting independent media
12- Supporting organic non-GMO farming
13- Joining movements that reform the election processes (voting transparency and ending campaign financing in the way it is no in the US at least)
14- Advocating renewable energy
15- Encouraging critical mass actions

...is definitely not a "scam" in my book, and is the kind of film and documentary the whole world needs to see, imo, even if one thinks that not every fact stated in the film is correct, and even if I do agree that it's weird that they haven't uploaded it for free, and that they actually should have done so. But it's all right if it's not that expensive and they want to make back some of the money they've spent over the years of getting the info and making this documentary. Plus, you can still download it as torrents and watch it from a few links for free so I don't see why you're complaining so much.

<snip>

The seed is planted. It is up to you to water it.
 Quoting: Mysterion 7405686

They recently decided to release the film for free to get it out to as many people as fast as possible. They said they are still relying on donations and DVD sales to help cover the huge costs.

Even though I'm very wary of 'movements', I support the film because it wraps up most of the stuff we talk about (see list in the quote above).

I don't agree with everything in the film and will ignore the new-agy parts that are only suggestions, anyway.

So long as power moves from the massive command and control centres (banking/financial/corporate systems) back to the individuals, I'll support it. That's my litmus test -- who gets the power? Does the individual or does some incorporated entity get to control us?

As soon as ANY movement proposes swapping one gigantic command and control system with another (eg Zeitgeist, socialism, religion/new age etc.), then I'm out.

PS: Most of the negative comments in this thread are from people who haven't seen the movie. You have to ask yourself what their agenda is?... why do they want to destroy any movement that threatens the current power system without even knowing what the movie is about? Who does that benefit?

While we are arguing about insignificant minutia, the nwo juggernaut moves on.

It was made by the man who has spread more chemical poison on this earth as the pharmaceutical industries, I bet he is still doing so as we speak. I suspect there is an agenda behind this, it is just using the feeling of the average person today to carry them along with the agenda.
He is using the bandwagon tactic for acceptance of the common people. I don't trust him and will watch to see what is behind the agenda!

Re: Anyone think the "Thrive Movement" is a scam?
Ok, so whenever a new movement pops up I like to see who owns their ip address for their website. I checked out the Thrive Movement website and it is registered under DomainDiscreet and a Rua Dr. Brita Camara of Funchal, Madeira. Ok, so who the fuck is that? A quick google search reveals this alias along with "DomainDiscreet" has been involved in major scam and fraud operations on the internet. Check here. [link to creatinganimage.com]
That's quite suspect that a movement would use this company and alias as it's owner, it is stated by the investigators that one should never pay money to this company using a credit card or give them any details. Thrive has an online store.

Then you look at the people they promote. Here are three, Nassim Haramein, David dIcke, Steven Greer. All BS artists and shills. Stay away people, stay away, you have been warned.

So when are you buidling your torus machine? Free energy man, build the machines already.

What? They didn't tell you how to do it?
But this is the best thing since sliced bread yet they refuse to tell you how to build the torus machine?

Remember the movie Contact?
Remember the machine in that movie?

The presenter comes of like any televangelist, same sh*t eating grin same hypnotic style of background music, same "slick" cover.

So fake it is amazing that people that supposed to have knowledge about conspiracy falls for it despite the guy inte movie being an extremely crappy conman.

Author John Robbins, Other Progressives Denounce ‘Thrive’

The Santa Cruz–based author is joined by Deepak Chopra and others in a statement distancing themselves from the film.

------------------------

We are a group of people who were interviewed for and appear in the movie Thrive, and who hereby publicly disassociate ourselves from the film.

Thrive is a very different film from what we were led to expect when we agreed to be interviewed. We are dismayed that we were not given a chance to know its content until the time of its public release. We are equally dismayed that our participation is being used to give credibility to ideas and agendas that we see as dangerously misguided.

We stand by what each of us said when we were interviewed. But we have grave disagreements with some of the film’s content and feel the need to make this public statement to avoid the appearance that our presence in the film constitutes any kind of endorsement.

As those who have seen THRIVE know, we are committed to a bold inquiry into what is really in the way of our thriving - and to offering much more than just a tweak to our fundamentally flawed and failing system.

One of our core approaches in making THRIVE was to hear from people with differing points of view and to go for vital information regardless of the political affiliations of the source. That way we could do our own informed and critical thinking and glean the principles and facts from which true, just and lasting solutions can be created.

We encourage a transparent, respectful, informed and constructive dialog that can address the specifics of any differences some of the pioneers in THRIVE might have with us. Although the letter of dissociation raised no specific issues, we understand from John Robbins' articles and the correspondence that he wrote soliciting others to participate in his disinformation campaign that the objections range from ET presence, to naming the reality of the Global Domination Agenda, to validating Zero Point Energy, to adhering to the Principle of Non-violation. Wow, not much of a movie left after eliminating those taboo inquiries!

We encourage everyone reading this to watch THRIVE and determine for yourselves if you agree that there is enough evidence to warrant additional dialog - about a covert agenda, about revolutionary new technologies and about bold strategies for achieving true liberty and justice for all.

We spent decades doing our homework on these issues and stand with complete integrity and clarity behind the facts represented in THRIVE. We welcome meaningful dialog and otherwise consider it dangerous to undermine the millions of us who are standing up to expose the covert global scheme amongst the elite and their secret societies and intelligence agencies to destroy the economies of countless nations, take over their resources, and kill whatever leaders or people don't play along.

Further hit and run communications are of little interest to us, especially as it distracts from time better spent with motivated solutions groups forming all over the world who are awakening to the agenda and taking actions based on integrity and freedom rather than staying confined by outworn and deceptive political polarities.

We encourage those who have publicly dissociated to offer their best information and solutions rather than spending time trying to undermine ours.

Each of the pioneers in THRIVE were invited because their expertise in a particular area had been helpful in our gaining an understanding of the bigger picture that includes, but vastly transcends, their sector of expertise -or anyone's political affiliation. We clearly state this in the movie:

'The people in THRIVE do not necessarily agree with the themes, statements, claims or conclusions presented in the film or website, nor does their inclusion imply our full agreement with all of their views. The people interviewed have each contributed in some deep way to our understanding and we are grateful to them all.'

We are encouraged by the millions of viewers, thousands of self-created screenings, the hundreds of THRIVE Solutions groups forming to get on with what's needed now - informed and leveraged action. People from all over the world- Greece, Poland, India, Portugal and more have voluntarily translated THRIVE into their languages to get the important information to their cultures. THRIVE is now translated into 18 different languages and we hear from people all over the world about the value THRIVE is offering in their cultural transformations.

We also are moved by the healings being reported in families, workplaces and communities as millions are getting the bridge between worldviews and beyond unnecessary and dangerous divide-and-conquer illusions. The new conversation, about what is really going on and solutions with human rights as primary, is, fortunately, unstoppable.

As stated in the book '1984', 'In times of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.' There is a well-informed, nonviolent revolution brewing and we welcome constructive contributions from everyone ready to participate.

This is one of the most beautiful things I have seen. THRIVE is available to watch for free on the website. Half way down the screen is a link on the left side that reads "watch Thrive". You can view the full movie. I bought the DVD to show others. Most are still in bondage and will remain until the enligtenment comes. Those of us who have already been enlighted know that this real. "The Secret" or "The Master Key System", I have watched and read. I decided on April 16th to "just be happy". My days and nights have been MAGICAL. The Human subconscious is so amazing!!!

Re: Anyone think the "Thrive Movement" is a scam?
I've seen it and googled the things mentioned in the film, especially re cancer cures etc. Its rubbish - the people you mention have all been discredited as quacks. Just stop preying on stupid people who don't know better. I admit, the movie itself is well edited and uses good techniques to convince. There must be some method that you use in these movies (as well as people who make these viral conspiracy theory films) - power of 3s, appeal to emotions, fear of the 'ruling elite' and sense of injustice from being persecuted by those trying to 'suppress' the 'truth'. Speak with 'experts' or try and get famous people to sound like they agree with you. Soundtrack is important and special effects.

But it really is just a pile of garbage.

Why don't you use your techniques to convince people to donate money to a decent charity (look at Charity Navigator) or make a prize fund to cure cancer. Instead of spending money on this absolute garbage. You are making the world stupider because there are people that actually believe you (including a friend of mine who made me sit through 2 hours - OMG). I don't have much hope for the future if these things consistently go viral. We seems to be hardwired to believe in something 'interesting' and 'subversive'. Why do we buy so many gossip magazines which lie about celebrities. Because we want to believe it, we are hardwired to believe it. Basically, if you haven't seen the movie, spoiler alert here - hint: the torus is the answer, pretty much the torus - free energy - torus - aliens - torus - cure cancer - torus.

Unfortunately, the movie doesn't give any technical details about how the torus gives us all this stuff -SO WHY DONT YOU PUBLISH IT OR MAKE THE DEVICE!!!!!! - put your free energy machine design specs on piratebay. Or give it to me and I'll file a patent for you which gets published globally. Or keep emailing your specs to universities. Build a demo and run your house on it. Invite the local news. You can get this much publicity about your crappy movie, get publicity about you actually solving the problems you talk about and trust me, if there's anything in it, people will notice. I know why you don't, its because the 'ruling elite' wont let you, right. Well, the answer is called the Internet, use it.

But you wont, because you're all scammers preying on idiots. Why can't I get money or publicity from these morons, I'd actually use it to do something which will help the world e.g. set up a prize fund to cure cancer. All the morons unite and GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY. Don't think about it I dont have time to explain how I do it, just give the the money already. PS Smart people should do this too ok, I'm serious, just tell me how I can do a video where I can raise, say, a $1 billion and I will set it up so it goes to the first person/company etc to cure cancer. Just reply to this message and I'll give you a bank account you can use, proper legit non-profit charity I have set up ok. But don't think too much, its all just money anyway, the system is corrupt. So give it to me. Thanks.

The movie is very interesting and well done. If you dont believe the facts, you are very welcome to try and show otherwise. THAT would make an interesting discussion, and not your general "I think its crap" thing with no arguments to defend your point of view.

The website of the Thrive Movement offer plenty of ways of solution, things YOU can do, you dont even have to make hard efforts. Just look at where you place your salary money (that is, if you have a job), put them in your local community bank and not with the biggies. Then you have done your very small part of taking the power from the big banks and in ultimate the Federal Reserve.

The only thing I really object to in the movie is the part about the crop circles. I have always like the idea of them being made by aliens, but after having seen an interview recently with a "human crop circle maker", that point is not very interesting anymore.
