Wetbacks?

Every job has two sides...what you do and what you get back. There's the work you do, and the compensation you get back. Please notice that I said "living wage", not "depressed wage".

When McCain said (during his debate with Obama) that Americans don't want to pick strawberries, he meant that Americans won't do it for near-slave wages. Then he said something absolutely amazing. He said something like if he had a field, he wouldn't be able to find Americans to pick strawberries for $35 an hour!

What happened that night and the next day? His phone rang off the hook with Americans wanting to pick strawberries for $35 per hour!

I've seen the tin and cardboard huts that migrant workers in this country live in (near Sunnyside, Washington and other places). Not even the wetbacks want to live like that.

Wetback wages and living wages are two different things.
