I am a Christian... don't you think it's interesting how He doesn't show up that much?

why do you think that is?

I've always found that kind of strange. seriously.

And just because it shows up doesn't mean anything. Demons harass people on a regular basis, and some others are "visited" too often to their liking. So if you're a Christian and you've been "visited", you've gotten the attention of the Nephilim (demons), and that's not the kind of attention you want to attract.

Re: any Christians ever seen Jesus in a dream?
So many strange things we dream about every night. I have seen Satan countless times in dreams, I stab him but he will never die. It is mysterious that God, who many of us spend so much time thinking of, rarely or never show up in dreams. My mother had a dream where she was embraced by Christ.

I had a dream about a man who had the power to bring all things into existence, including me, but he hid his face and was lonely and sad.

this is so far from the truth. i won't even bother...
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and good will shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers! And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!"

I've heard him in a dream.. But have never seen him. At least, not that I can remember.

If everyone saw him, I think it would defeat the purpose of faith. We should have strong faith for many reasons.
 Quoting: DoppelgangerGirl

Faith means trusting him, not just knowing he exists. Even though many are converted through personal revelation, we still have our human weaknesses, we still doubt, we still fail to carry out his will by sinning. Trust in God despite many "unknowns" is true faith.

The Mater Jesus poured water over me as I knelt before him. My tears washed his feet.

He told me that I had come so far and not to doubt His Love. He conveyed that He was pleased with me, yet my Faith would again be tested.

I pray to this day that I will hear His voice always, through the Voice of
Conscience,
Intuition,
& Nature.
And that I heed to His Voice with the Mighty Sword of Faith.

Yes, I believe so. I had a big fight with my Mother and he came in my dream, his eyes were like fiery opals and he said, "How could you do that?" I got seriously reprimanded and woke up in terror. I was AFRAID of Christ, maybe for good reason.

And really when you see Jesus, you're looking into a mirror. I remember that from my dream, it was like an essence or a part of me, and yet it was also separate and individually perceived. Such is our kind of island-like consciousness.

clothed in an orange glow and beckoned her.My entire family
are believers in the Lord and are expecting his return.

Re: any Christians ever seen Jesus in a dream?
He rode a horse, a brown horse well set for travelling, but not a donkey, and not on foot. The implication of this was that he is no longer at the human level, but on the return journey to nobility. A long way travelled and a long way yet to go. Christ is perfected humanity, and the final human to emerge.

N.B. Dreams are transcribed through what is usually an impure vessel. They are not to be taken literally or have too much importance attached to them.

Jesus said, I go to be with my father, but he will send the COMFORTER in my place.....the Holy Spirit, the Breath of God in Hebrew...the Ruach Hacodesh(sic)....

READ book of John, Chapter 16 verse 13.....

By FAITH in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us...we become the temple where the Spirit of God dwells....

If you have the Spirit of God, the Breath of God dwelling in you, then why would the Lord, Jesus Christ have to show up in your dreams????

The THREE ARE ONE, so if you are listening to the VOICE OF GOD dwelling in you, you will have little need for Him to come to you in dreams....read book of Job, chapter 33 starting in verse 13....this explains dreams and why they are given.

A breif picture of the Lord and what Christianity should really look like and requires, read 1st John(John's first letter of three)Chapter 1 and chapter 4.....in that order...then read on if you wish.

More information on the Holy Spirit and what Jesus had to say about Him is in the 14th, 15th and 16th chapters of the book of John....then read how Jesus prayed for you, yes, you in Chapter 17 of John.

These are not long chapters...read one a night.

You can read them at Blueline bible . com....better in the king james.

May the Lord open His word to you through His Holy Spirit.

amen.

The Word says that we can 'greive' the Holy Spirit by our actions, words and choices....that does not mean that we loose our Salvation because the Lord, Jesus, promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us, however, just like our parents, who never stop being our parents, we can make them sad.

It is when we look at ourselves, see what it is that we have done to hurt them, Him(Holy Spirit), we can repent(apologise), stop hurting them(turn from our sin) and give them the Love and Respect they deserve/earned. (After all, Jesus gave His life for you, willingly, so that you could live forever with Him in peace and beauty.)

Write down all you dreams in great detail....like you were giving a statement to the police...date them, then once a week, read over them, pray over them....the Lord will begin to show you thier purpose....when they come to pass, write the date on the page with a different color pen, cut out the newspaper articles and put them in the journal...

You have a great calling on your life. He is showing you things because He knows you will do the right thing.

I can speak with you more on this if you would like....

I will check this board as often as I can..My christian walk has always involved dreams and visions, words of knowledge, gift of discernment...these are all from the Lord and none of me, but with it comes great responsibility....

Many pray for these gifts, but few realise what comes with them...if you read any of the prophets of the old testiment, you will find that they are hated, hated much much more than false prophets.....

Jerimiah chapter 22, 23 and 24 are a good place to start when deciding if you really wish to walk in these gifts.

I don't call myself a "Christian", but I do believe in the Holy Scriptures / Holy Bible. I met Yahshua Christ (whom most call Jesus) in a dream. It was more like an experience in another dimension than a dream. He held my hand and said I was here for something important. He told me that because I was really sad, pretty much saying the same words about my life that Job said about his in Book of Job Chapter 3. The Messiah IS REAL!!

He quickly walked up to the vehicle, jumped onto the hood, laid back and put his hands behind his head like he was relaxing there.
 Quoting: outtadadark

No, you don't know what your dream means.....

You are in the wilderness because you have put God in a box...You have taken what MAN has told you is ministry and the christian lifestyle/ way of being...thus you are sitting in the BACK of the vehicle....

Have you not heard?

One plus God equals the majority!

Do you know how many people would be over joyed to have Jesus SIT on thier ministry???????

You assume you need an engine, you assume you need the vehicle to run....

The people came to Jesus, rest, like Jesus did in your dream, and let the people come to you....

Beleive me, they will once they see The Lord sitting on your ministry....

Read psalms 78....not only does it list what we should be teaching of children and should know ourselves, but it lists what offended God in the wilderness....psalms 78:18, 41 and 42:5a:

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1082682

Just because you do not either remember your dreams so as to know when they happen, or because you think they are the pizza you ate the night before, it is ignorant of you to assume that no one else can 'see'.....

Here's one for you....

I dreamt that a tractor trailor rig was on fire on the side of the road...plain and simple.

The next day, I had to go 'up the hill' for an errand. I come from a family of professional drivers and so I watch the road, I watch other drivers and especially big rigs as they can communicate up and down the highway through CB's.

I was coming back down the 'hill' in the sierra nevadas, about a 6% grade, driving my Jeep wrangler, when I saw a big rig traveling in the fast lane, slowly but still in the fast lane....this is illegal in california...so I knew that the driver was over there for a REASON!

I went around him but continued to travel in the fast lane as he was, expecting to see a wreck around a corner farther down the road....

I came around a sharp curve and lo, and behold....there was a tractor trailer rig on the side of the road....ON FIRE!

SO what say you?

How about dreaming that my ex-husband bought our son a red jeep????? Dreamt this while my son was 12 years old....

My son is now 17 and in October, my ex bought him a jeep grand cherokee.....RED!

The rest of the dream had shown me that my son would be rebellious during the time of the red 'jeep'....so

I had told my son the dream 7 years ago....I reminded him about it when he told me of the Jeep...

Now we, he and I, are impowered to change the out come...

He has been warned, it is his choice now...

This dream is also a testimony to my son...his Faith is weak now in high school...not popular opinion...

THE LORD used this to show my son He is real.

Thank you Jesus.

The Lord will and can speak to you the same way...but maybe you are not ready...ask yourself, would you really want to know what is coming, or what someone has done in the past....would you still be able to love them?

I try to love like Jesus, no matter what.

I pray that the Lord will reach down into your circumstances and make Himself real to you.

I ask in Jesus' mighty name, amen

Once I stood up too quickly after having some alcohol and marijunana after excusing myself for not feeling too well.

I fainted, falling to the floor.

When I was out, I was in some sort of tunnel with a bright light at the end. it was hard to describe the tunnel, Not sure of the nature or makeup of the tunnel but I saw something else totally unmistakable:

A Jesus-like figure. Not sure if it was Jesus- the facial features were unidentifiable but definitely Jesus-like. In the few seconds that it lasted, the figure floated towards me, arms outstretched. I then came to.

This was about 7-8 years ago...

Not sure if I was hallucinating but it was bizarre.

TO ALL, When one dreams the part of your persona, the essence of you, your own spirit, the ego part puts up a shield against the guiding of and instruction of the indwelling Father fragment. Who seeks for ones to achieve experiential attainment and growth of your personal spirit and ascend to a higher level of being, but we fight off the teachings because we fear the unknown and our dreams are a product of this .None the less we learn from dreams. the white rose

Dreamt I was slain in the final battle by one of the angels who sided with satan.

The other dream I was commanded by God not to talk about what I saw until further instruction or I would die. my lips stay sealed. That was like 25 years ago.

Re: any Christians ever seen Jesus in a dream?
I was very sick. I'm a stage 3 cancer survivor and this was while I was going thru chemo about 7yrs ago.

I did not see His face. I was bundled up (as you would a small child) with my head on His shoulder and He was talking to me very softly. (I still don't remember what was said, but it made me feel better) As He was holding me and talking, I could hear angels singing (I didn't see those faces either). When I woke up I could still hear them singing for a few mins. This happened 2 or three times while I was going through those months of chemo and each time it happened it was like a boost physically, emotionally and most of all spiritualy for me.

You may not believe it, but cancer was a blessing for me. Live or die, I know Jesus really and truly loves and cares for me despite everything. I know that many of us are going Home soon, and hope and pray that those who are unsure would accept Jesus into their hearts. Time is shorter then you know.

Re: any Christians ever seen Jesus in a dream?
I dont talk much about my experiences, dreams or visions but I would like to share two. In 2008 I heard God speak to me. He said No man knoweth the day nor the hour inwhich Christ is to return so be ye ready. His voice sounded like many waters and like more than one person speaking. I knew it was the Lord. Also I was walking home one night and I found myself gazing upon the stars. For the first time in my life I actually looked upon the heavens and admired Gods creation. I was in awe. It was a dark road only two street lights. I remember blinking and i was somewhere else. This was not a dream. I was so humbled that i held my head down. I couldnt not look up. I looked to the left side and saw clouds and a pinkish blue sky. I heard a voice. It said my servent whom I am well pleased. It paused. The feeling I had next I cannot describe with words but I will try. I knew God was going to tell me I made it in or i didnt. It was beyond fear. There was no concept of time. Nothing mattered anymore. I didnt think about anything or anyone only what God was going to say after the silence. I didnt even think about the good or bad ive done. My children family nothing. Silence in the realm of time. God spoke and said, you have made it in. I laughed and cried without any control over myself. I had never experience that kind of joy and love at the same time. Its like i was drunk with happiness. I rejoiced. I closed my eyes and opened them and realized I was standing in the middle of the road. No cars in sight. Just me. I wept all the way home. I was not dreaming. I was wide awake. This is just two off my experiences. Godbless.

Re: any Christians ever seen Jesus in a dream?
i grew up catholic and rarely go to church, but i'm pretty faithful and spiritual. i didn't have a dream w/ jesus. instead, i had a dream w/ the deceased pope john paul ii. he was dressed in a bright white outfit w/ that hat he wore. he told me that i had to keep doing what i'm doing. fast foward a few days later, while in a catholic charasmatic healing mass, the priest says, after discussing his physical ailments, that he too had to keep doing what he was doing - which is leading mass.

the most recent and strangest dream is the one where everything was one bright white light. i was bright white light w/ no form. i heard a man's voice speaking to me and some beautiful music in the background. i felt myself turning around and sensing that i wasn't on earth anymore and that i was dead on earth. all i knew was that my daughter and the others wouldn't understand why i died, so i had to go back. i forgot everything this 'male being' told me. too concerned for those 'left behind.' so no. no jesus. would have been nice if i could have seen this being to know for sure who was it.
