I almost clawed my eyes out driven mad by irritation while watching this shitty movie. Me and my girlfriend both let out huge sighs of relief when it was over, we both were hoping that Dunsts character was the first of all mankind to die from the impact. The second arthouse film Ive seen in as many weeks that was really bad the first being Drive. And yes we understood what was going on, the script was still shit, and Dunst was crap I literally hated her face by the end of the movie. Her chewing the scenery in an attempt to portray this depressed waste, who for no reason is gifted with total omniscience, gave me a headache. If u want to see a great performance, an actor pushing himself to new boundaries and beyond, see Laurence R. Harvey in Human Centipede 2, say what u want about the subject matter, that guy was fuckin amazing. His acting provoked me to giggle deviously thru most of the film he was so good. And for the record I loved Antichrist and Valhalla Rising, but Drive and Melancholia are def two duds from two talented directors, maybe they should stick to directing and let someone else write for a while.
