There is just too much hate around here...None of the nasty comments here have changed my mind one bit...and I don't bother responding to insults and lies, or nasty posts.

I said that the things that happened should be remembered and not forgotten or twisted around in history books to make it look like something that it wasn't, and that's the truth. I believe in truth, even if it isn't nice or pretty.

Have a great day....I'm going to go enjoy the rest of mine.

So I spent all that time, carefully and patiently explaining to you WHY you're getting so many negative reactions, and you simply don't bother to engage my arguments?

And where did I tell one lie? ONE? When was I nasty? I included one censored obscenity (f***) to convey the intensity of feeling that I was trying to get you to understand, but it appears you don't want to understand.

Tell me... are you, as Christian, are okay with blaming present-day innocent white people, for crimes of the past? In the Scripture, only God reserves the perogative to curse generations; we are Biblically commanded NOT to do this, "the son shall not die for the sin of the father", etc.

FYI, at NO time did I ever advocate denying that atrocities occured. (Nor have I ever seen a history book that did so.) But when you look at the WHOLE truth of history, the idea that white folks are somehow *uniquely* evil, is shown to be ludicrously wrong. No race is innocent of atrocity.

Contrary to liberal theology, people of ALL races are fallen, not just whites.

If I felt like replying, I would. The fact is that I"ve been spending time with my family this afternoon, so sorry if that's not acceptable to you.

There is just too much hate around here, and I don't want to absorb it. So when people get really nasty with me, like now, I just leave for a while instead of returning the hate, I just let it go.

None of the nasty comments here have changed my mind one bit. Alot of words have been put into my mouth, things I never said or implied, and I don't bother responding to insults and lies, or nasty posts.

I don't deny this for a moment. But when you really dig into the depths of history, you find that there's a lot more to the story than simply white=bad, red=good. Far, far from it. A continent had been nearly emptied by ACCIDENTALLY introduced disease, and when the Pilgrims came in response to a leading of God (or so they thought), they went to great lengths to deal justly with the scattered survivors. If you read the history of the Pilgrim's battles, they were NOT the genocidal aggressors that revisionists make them out to be.

Once you know the whole truth, Thanksgiving is a perfectly legitimate holiday again. Indeed, the brief window of racial brotherhood that happened there, ought to be an inspiration to the future (and a rebuke to later generations who acted differently).

And in any case, even genuine atrocities of the past, are not even slightly the fault of anyone alive today. That's solidly scriptural.

Also... ideologically... anti-thanksgiving revisionism is a close cousin to anti-Christian revisionism. So REALLY double check your facts before buying into the new agenda.

One more thing... there ARE prophecies that God will eventually avenge every broken treaty, every massacre, agasint the only still-extant guilty party: the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. And surely we all understand what a corrupt and abusive institution that has become. In that sense, "we're all Indians now" -- our treaty being the Constitution itself, which they shamelessly trample.

Perhaps. But one holocaust does not justify another. If Siberan immigrants 13,000 years ago, wiped out white Euro-descended Clovisolutreans, that in no way justfies white persecution of "native" Americans starting in 1492.

We as whites, are NOT GUILTY of the crimes of our ancestors. And if the American Indians' forefathers warred with, and wiped out, a race of white giants -- as so many of their legends assert -- they, too, are NOT GUILTY of their forefather's crimes either. As the Bible so clearly states, the son shall not die for the sin of the father.

I don't blame present day British for engineering the Irish potato famine. So I get really pissed off when I get blamed for slavery or killing Cherokees.

'Whites' are 'tech people'. They were the Pyramid builder, the calendar maker, etc. The later Mayans/Egyptians/Etc. Allowed them to live as slaves to build them Pyramids/Idols/Etc. to their specification. (and the Women for sex)

Search Pre Clovis, There were people here long before the Clovis people that used to be considered 'native Americans'.

Search Kennewick, 9000 year old White man corpse found.

Search Ainu, White 'Boat People' that escaped America to an Island in NE Asia.

Search Solutrean, European DNA and Stone tool technology.

Learn about those caves in the Grand Canion, with unusually tall white mummies and other relatively 'high tech' stuff in there. And all the other Red Headed and tall corpses found here and there.

I think you might find 'White Eye' in some of the Histories of the 'Indians' them selves.

But one holocaust does not justify another. If Siberan immigrants 13,000 years ago, wiped out white Euro-descended Clovisolutreans, that in no way justfies white persecution of "native" Americans starting in 1492.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5468873

1dunno1 We didnt really come here to kill and conquor, we 'settled' and defended ourselves. And we did then 'multiply' and over run the place.
{Just like the Africans and Hispanics are doing today}
Had we not been returning to a place we had been mostly killed and partly driven off of, this Would have been more or less as bad as anyone has claimed.

But being as it was, a return to our homeland, that was much more violently taken from us in the first place,,. It was 'righteous'.

We as whites, are NOT GUILTY of the crimes of our ancestors. And if the American Indians' forefathers warred with, and wiped out, a race of white giants -- as so many of their legends assert -- they, too, are NOT GUILTY of their forefather's crimes either. Right. That doesnt mean we should treat the Indians who live here today, as the Enemies their ancestors were. They themselves found theirselves here at birth. 1dunno1 its not really their fault what their ancestors did. And they do now have some of the 'blood' of those they conquored.

And even the invaders themselves, were not as 'evil' as some might think. I think we peoples are different in more ways than we usually think.

The 'dark peoples' are more into war and warriors and 'Art of War' and stuff like that. To them it is a more honorable pursute. And they maby dont expect 'light peoples' are any different.

They think defending your territory is like a responcibility. If someone neglects that, to them, its like neglecting a Duty. They are just helping to rid the world of lazy no goods who wont amount to anything anyway, or some junk. 1dunno1

The Muslims see Sweden as a bunch of Nancies for letting them in their country in the first place. Demanding they be able to live their under Sheite Law, is as much of a Joke to them as it is to some of us. They think if 'whitey', is that screwed up, he deserves what he gets. lmao

Re: Thanksgiving = Sweeping The Ugly Truth Under the Rug
Thank you lisa lisa for this truthful thread! It is nice to see that others "get it". My family doesn't celebrate thanksgiving because of the truth thats been passed down in my family throughout generations. My ancestors were victims of the trail of tears (my family is still here in oklahoma) And the thanksgiving day massacre is very much real apart of our ancestors history as anything else. As a child i remembered wondering to myself in history class "why does this story seem so much more happy"..I learned the story with a different ending. I found a link that came close to what i learned about thanksgiving i'd like to share it with you all. I hope all of you have a wonderful thanksgiving, and even tho i don't celebrate it i also understand most do. most do not know the truth. Most use the holiday to gather with family and share thanks and love with one another. peace

Actually what the OP ignores is not the truth but the reality of the truth, When the first settlers arrived on this Continent, the Indians welcomed them and taught them how to hunt and farm the land and to be one with it, that is what we celebrate at thanksgiving.

But there is always that ugly truth about what was done to the Indians.

I blame the French...

You see the French in an effort to wrestle America from the British used the Indians against unarmed settlers, taught them to hate and fear all whites (except the french of course) and even paid them and supplied them with firearms to massacre English settlers.

Those of you that have never studied it might have heard of the French and Indian wars where Colonel George Washington was a celebrated hero in the British army.

The French did the job so well that they turned a continent of Indians against the English colonists and the rest is history.

So I blame the french for what they started.
