It can be breaking news tomorrow: Greece didnt cheat to enter euro
Simitis: The entry of Greece into the euro was completely transparent

Greece joined the Economic and Monetary Union without skew the elements of its economy , argues in an article to be published in French newspaper "Le Monde", tomorrow, November 16, former Greek Prime Minister Costas Simitis.

As the former prime minister "we should clarify the actual conditions of the entry of Greece to the euro in order to facilitate the understanding of the" Greek problem ".

According to Mr. Simitis, Greece joined the euro area in compliance with the fiscal criteria of the Maastricht Treaty, the level of public deficit and high inflation and bring the question of amending the calculation of the deficit from the New Republic in 2004 which estimated defense spending in the order date, not acquisition, which is valid throughout Europe.

Mr Simitis says "it is a pity Nicolas Sarkozy adopted such an attitude, unless he denies the integrity of the European Commission and European Central Bank" and notes that when France entered the euro zone had a greater deficit than that of Greece .

Goldman Sachs is up to their eyeballs in fraud over hiding their debts with cash infusions that were taken out shortly after hitting the books. GS then sold short the CDSs and passed the buck onto those who went long. "MF" Global is a handy moniker.

Well, the PM back then claims they didnt cheat at all. Its the first time he answers to this blame open in public. It will be interesting to see the reactions.
