Ah, maybe this is in response to the death of that 22 yr old who was developing a social network that protected the users identity and was safe. Any body else read about that, this would make sense as it is obvious who had him "done".

I just never click on those suspect "somebody shared a link" links which are about some stuff I know the person wouldn't post on fb.

That's for the people who uses but doesn't protect their accounts. You can set the people who can only view your picts and who doesn't.

Truth is you can easily download pictures in FB accounts and there's no option to disable it up to date. But of course that's only for the items you put in public.
