It's the speculators driving up the price just like it always is......get used to it. If we go to war then they can even drive it higher.

ROFLMAO......yea we are going to war with Iran...Keep on believing that.....

Canada pipeline firms sprint to end U.S. oil glut

"The companies are racing to unlock a glut of crude in the U.S. Midwest, which has built up over the year due to rising supplies from Canada and North Dakota. They aim to ship it to the Gulf Coast where it will fetch a hefty premium. Doing so will rob mid-continent refiners of cheap crude, but help producers achieve a higher price for their output.

Oil traders reacted swiftly to the news. U.S. crude surged by nearly $2 a barrel while Brent crude remained $1 lower -- narrowing the so-called Brent/WTI spread to below $10 a barrel for the first time since April."

Yes, TPTB have a very effective economic lever by varying the price of oil. Wind or sun just wouldn't work the same.

This is good for the global financial system. In this type of economy, the oil industry needs a pay raise too.

I've heard rumors of diesel fuel being $8/gallon by next summer. Anybody else hear that anywhere? I've not seen it in print anywhere - just speculation among coworkers. If that's true, I don't even want to know what that's going to do to the prices we pay at the store.

TPTB have put an extra / just before the word 'topic' in that url.

if you dont believe it google the main title of the link in google:

historical-articles-by-matt-marriott-from-1998-2000-in-the-cnn-boards-1-exponential

then look at the link from glp....

this has happened loads of times before with other links from this poster.

No country in Europe pays less than $6.50 USD per gallon.
Thats why they have cool high speed trains and cool comfortable buses.
America is failing because of a lack of public infrastructure investment.
And because REPUBLICAN George Bush was a moron and still smarter than all the current republican hopefuls except for Ron Paul and John Huntsman.

Well... Obunghole put off the Keystone XL pipeline which would have increased supply to the US... I'm not complaining. Hell, it can go to $150 for all I care since I don't drive. I also own shares in two big Canadian oil companies and a pipeline so bring it on!
