Quoting: FCL Although not quite as good as silver or copper, aluminum is an excellent electrical conductor. It is also considerably cheaper and lighter than these metals, so it is used widely in overhead power lines. It is also a great thermal insulator, I forgot to include that. I realize aluminum is a good conductor of electricity, it would make no sense to include it in my post about the strengthening of a conductive environment.
