What I am thinking about now is how Don Quixote "saw" Dulcinea: not as she appeared to others, but as he "saw" her. And then Dulcinea began to believe in herself because of what Don Quixote "saw."

and he changed her name from Aldonsa to Dulcinea..which means sweet..

and he saw a simple barbers basin as a powerfulhelmet that couldgive courage..and it did..because he believed it would

at the end of the movie Aldonsa says she is now Dulcinea..and her last words are Believe Sancho..believe

and as Cervantes says..what is more crazy than to see life as it is and not as it should be?

I read it in my early teens..which is a pity ina way ..sure I missed alot :)

But themovie does it justice..obviously cant reflect the book at it is very complex and elaborate..but the message comes across

I read it when I was 17 or 18. I remember going to the small public library in my town to get it: two volumes!

I know I missed a lot, too... thankfully I've come back to it several times later in life.

I dont like re reading books..which is silly I suppose..maybe I should re read it too

I think I re-read books because once I see the overall story, theme, and plot, I can go back and fill in the supporting details that I missed the first time.

I think its a great idea
