READY FOR THE NEXT DISTRACTION : LA detectives re-open Natalie Wood death inquiry !!!

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Homicide detectives have re-opened their investigation of Natalie Wood's death nearly 30 years after the actress drowned in the waters off Southern California in one of Hollywood's most alluring mysteries.
The renewed look at Wood's Nov. 29, 1981, death was prompted by new information detectives received about the case, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said Thursday.
No additional details were provided, but a detective planned to hold a news conference Friday, and anyone with information about the case was being asked to contact sheriff's officials.
A spokesman for Wood's husband at the time of her death, Robert Wagner, said the family trusts the sheriff's department will take appropriate action but has not been contacted about the case being re-opened.

I thought there was speculation (at the time) that her husband had pushed her overboard and ignored her cries for help. She was drunk at the time and drowned in the cold waters of the Pacific fairly fast. Poor woman. Most people in the industry said she was very sweet to everyone she worked with at the studio's and on the various sets of movies she made. Most celebs are NOT. So she was unusual in that respect. Her money and fame did not turn her into a total bitch.

I never heard any speculation of that, but it was said she had probably gone overboard and called for help but no one inside had heard her. There was a group of people/friends on the boat and no one heard her. Tragic.

Natalie had an extreme fear of water, which led to much speculation about whether or not she would have intentionally gotten into the dinghy.

Robert Wagner and actor Christopher Walken were arguing, after the two, along with Natalie, had been out drinking and had returned to the boat.

Natalie Wood, one of the most glamorous actresses of her generation, was found drowned in the waters off Southern California after a night of partying on the yacht she owned with husband Robert Wagner.

But now 'additional information' has apparently come to light prompting homicide detectives to re-open their investigation into her death nearly 30 years after she drowned in the waters off Southern California.

This may seem like a distraction to you OP,........ but this is about someone who was either murdered or allowed to die, by someone who did not even try to save her life.........
According to the ship's 'captain'.

Therefore this is BIG!!!

This is the interference into and the will-full destruction of someone's life.
So its not a distraction at all.

And it looks like perhaps someone with a lot of connections was able to keep this quiet for a very long time.

KARMA will serve justice completely to all in any case.

But it would be nice to see if we could attempt in this world to respect someone's life enough to see what happened to cause their death, as in this case.

The police who failed to investigate the apparent murder should also be charged as accessories, and be shot with...

Re: READY FOR THE NEXT DISTRACTION : LA detectives re-open Natalie Wood death inquiry !!!
Natalie has been my favorite actress for years and years. I remember where I was, and how I reacted when the news hit that day. I literally sunk to the floor crying. It was out of no-where and seemed unbelievable that she died drowning, knowing her fear of water was well publicized. I'd read that she had a very difficult time filming the scene in Rebel Without A Cause where she was neck deep in water. It was so surreal at the time.

To me, the circumstances have always been suspicious. I'm not about to play the blame game at this time, as to me right now, it seems as though we're being 'titillated' with this 'new information' that has come forth. No new facts yet to discuss. But with her well known fear of water I cannot imagine her being willing to get into a dinghy, drunk or not, and no matter how upset she was.

The only thing I can say is IMHO Christopher Walken is one creepy dude, period end. And, that I didn't understand the swiftness with which Robert Wagner took up with an old flame (friend?) Jill St. John so soon after Natalie's passing. Natalie died Nov 29th, 1981(or 28th depending on what site you're reading) and according to Wiki he took up with Jill in "early 1982". Now, considering that he and Natalie were on their second marriage to EACH OTHER, one would think one would need a tad more grieving time. But, maybe that's just me.

It'll be interesting to see what, if any real 'new' leads they have on the case. Curious to know who these "other sources" are besides the captain coming forward.

RIP Natalie.
