I'ts colder than a witches you know what here...
And I am out of coffee. coffee4

It's a balmy -18c this morning with a windchill factor of -27c. Time once again to factor in the damn windchill every day.verycold

Not to mention that I have to clear the foot of snow off the walks and driveway.

Guess I will put on all my winter gear and push myself out the door.

Anyone commiserate with my problem?

No, not yet. But you sure made me feel good about living down here! Just a couple of snowfalls so far that have melted right away. But then again, 2 years ago we got this.

Yuck, an ugly reminder of what is to come.

I'll be shoveling the white stuff this afternoon, as soon as it warms up a tad.

Re: I'ts colder than a witches you know what here...
Back from getting coffee and running a few other errands.

It is slippery as all get out, black ice lurks under the frosty snow at every intersection that the sand truck has not yet reached. Everything takes sooo much longer.

Stopped at Cabela's, the local outdoor store and $650 parka's are flying out of the store. Looks like people expect a nasty winter.

Yet, while still cold, -14c with windchill -24c, so bundle up, the sun is out and the sky is stunning. Clear periwinkle blue, nary a cloud as far as the eye can see and on the prairies you can see forever.

Shoveled the driveway and walks already.
Great exercise for free.

The kitties wanted to check out the snow, which lasted all of two minutes. Then it was, open the damn door, I'm freezing my ass off out here. Pussies, lol.

The only outdoor chore left for today is to find the extension cord to plug the car in with and turn on the power to the car outlet.

Now aren't you glad you don't live in the northern plains?

Peace everyone, all that fresh air and exercise always centers me.

What do witches have that the cold is colder than?

I can't find anything on youtube, did the 'elite' censor the thing that's cold, but not so much as to be colder than the cold.

Am I missing something?

It's Summer in Australia so over here you'd be called a liar, so your lucky your over there, in there cold, with three-fourths of a witch, apparently.

It's warmer than a witches you know what here...

Oh, oh... *whispers* I can see dead people.

One extreme to the other temp wise on the board.
As in nature there is always balance.

Today is winter acceptance day for me. I know it comes every year, for pete's sake, I live in a place that has winter 6 bloody months of the year, 5 if we are lucky.

Now that I am in full winter swing, it's time to embrace it. I'm thinking a walk in the crisp cold sunshine might just be what the doctor ordered.

Can also be put forth as

"It's colder than a witches tit in a brass bra", but it's so f'n cold here that we shortened it a long, long, long time ago.

Today it is now what would be considered a "nice" winter day, but I am not quite adjusted yet, sheesh I still had flowers blooming two weeks ago.

I have also heard the term even here in Texas.

Not that it gets that cold here but when your accustom to 100F (37C), even this morning when it was 20C, felt cool.
But it will warm up to 23C later. Just in time to load the barbi.

It's at least 90 and VERY windy here. I was outside barefooted and wearing shorts and a t-shirt earlier. My garage sale items kept blowing into the neighbor's yard.

We have the opposite in the UK, last weekend was 18C

This autumn could be the warmest on record after the mildest start to November in more than 350 years, forecasters said.
