I've been inside one when I was studying electronic engineering and it both looks and runs exactly like a religious temple right down to the priestly assembly with their religious garb. I submit to you that modern day fablabs are nothing less than religious temples where pure crystals are sacrificed on a fiery alter to be transformed for the benefit of mankind in the name of a technological god. Guess what happened? 1) Some guy got a trade mark for fablab and everytime you do an image search using fablab as a keyword, that trademark comes up! 2) Since Google's last algorithm changes I noticed a ton of technical sites have been pushed to the very bottom of the listings or even removed. Back in 2004 or so you could easily find these images, but you can't anymore. But I was inside one and can testify as to its design. I will go on a research trek and try to find images for you. But it will take time. |
