505. Latin? Where are your sources?

All of the Nag Hammadi manuscripts were written in Coptic (an ancient Egyptian language).

The Gospel of Truth was translated from Coptic into English.

Some of the texts that were found (e.g. Gospel of Thomas and part of Plato´s republic) were known to be translated from earlier Greek manuscripts.

The English translators decided to call the ancient coptic scribes and their sect Gnostic´s. Which comes from the Greek word Gnosis meaning knowledge. It doesn´t mean "he knows me"? That was my point.
