this video may scare you so bad that you are reduced to crying and asking for forgiveness, for others it may raise a fire in you to do God's will and for others you may care less..

i will leave it upto you, but watch how stunningly horrifying the truth is... the majority of the world is heading straight for hell and they dont know it..

According to Christianity, eternal suffering awaits anyone who questions God's infinite love. That's the message we're brought up with, believe or die. "Thank you, forgiving Lord, for all those options."

They say that when god was in Jerusalem he forgave his murderers, but now he will not forgive an honest man for differing with him on the subject of the Trinity. They say that God says to me, "Forgive your enemies." I say, "I do;" but he says, "I will damn mine." God should be consistent. If he wants me to forgive my enemies he should forgive his. I am asked to forgive enemies who can hurt me. God is only asked to forgive enemies who cannot hurt him. He certainly ought to be as generous as he asks us to be.

An Inuit hunter asked the local missionary priest: "If I did not know about God and sin, would I go to hell?" "No," said the priest, "not if you did not know." "Then why," asked the Inuit earnestly, "did you tell me?" --Annie Dillard, Pilgrim at Tinker Creek

Some conservative Christians argue in favor of hell by calling it "God's great compliment." "Compliment?" If hell is such a "compliment" then what does God do when he wants to "insult" somebody?—

The fear of hell is the basis for the Christian faith

Given headaches, backaches, toothaches, strains, scrapes, breaks, cuts, rashes, burns, bruises, PMS, fatigue, hunger, odors, molds, colds, yeast, parasites, viruses, cancers, genetic defects, blindness, deafness, paralysis, mental illness, ugliness, ignorance, miscommunications, embarrassments, unrequited love, dashed hopes, boredom, hard labor, repetitious labor, accidents, old age, senility, fires, floods, earthquakes, typhoons, tornadoes, hurricanes and volcanoes, I can not see how anyone, after they are dead, deserves "eternal punishment" as well?

Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! But He loves you!

As a tot I was given the usual terrifying mixed message: a) God is love; and b) If you don't believe how much he loves you, you will stand in the corner for eternity.-

Who will say with confidence that sexual abuse is more permanently damaging to children than threatening them with the eternal and unquenchable fires of hell?

Made in the image of God, all humans have a moral sense, a judicial sentiment. Even the unredeemed cringe when the Holocaust is reviewed. Our moral intuition rejects the idea that anyone, human or divine, who endlessly inflicted pain on another could be called "good Few people, if they really had the authority, would condemn anyone, even their worst enemy, to a burning, scorching, tormenting, eternal hell. Yet, they expect God to do it! Those who impute such actions to God, as to make Him resemble the worst of beings, find themselves practising downright Demonism.

And yet this same Deity says to me, "resist not evil; pray for those that despitefully use you; love your enemies, but I will eternally damn mine." It seems to me that even gods should practice what they preach.

Listening to her father preach a hellfire sermon, the pastor’s daughter said, “I wish Jesus was as loving as my father.”

I am not afraid of any god in the universe who would send me or any other man or woman to hell. If there were such a being, he would not be a god; he would be a devil.

An idea, which has terrified millions, claims that some of us will go to a place called Hell, where we will suffer eternal torture. This does not scare me because, when I try to imagine a Mind behind this universe, I cannot conceive that Mind, usually called "God," as totally mad. I mean, guys, compare that "God" with the worst monsters you can think of -- Adolph Hitler, Joe Stalin, that sort of guy. None of them ever inflicted more than finite pain on their victims. Even de Sade, in his sado-masochistic fantasy novels, never devised an unlimited torture. The idea that the Mind of Creation (if such exists) wants to torture some of its critters for endless infinities of infinities seems too absurd to take seriously. Such a deranged Mind could not create a mud hut, much less the exquisitely mathematical universe around us.

God cannot send to eternal pain a man who has done something toward improving the condition of his fellow-man. If he can, I had rather go to hell than to heaven and keep company with such a god.

the REVERENCE of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

the word "fear" in your translation means "reverence" or "to revere"
 Quoting: Salt

The primary definition for the Hebrew word "Yur'ah" used in Psalm 111:10 is: fear; terror

See: [link to www.biblestudytools.com]

You need to review some of the Old Testament and Revelations to see what takes place when God's anger is aroused.

Try to get your thinking correct on this. While Christians are instructed to love their enemies by God........God's actions are a bit different. "Vengeance is Mine, says the Lord.....I will repay."

God's great gift of love was given to His Creation as a whole......in it's entirety......the large chunk of all that He created......the gift was given 2,000 years ago.....when the Father sent His Son to die for "the world."

You might love your car.....but you will hate your tire when it goes flat.

So are God's feelings to INDIVIDUALS who are in rebellion against Him. They are His enemies. Should that person one day give Himself to Christ......they immediately become His children.....and no longer an enemy.

As children......many of you who had good fathers at home......fathers that would at times discipline you......those fathers who you would simultaneously love and fear. I loved my Dad......but also feared a spanking if I messed up. He only had to spank me about 2 or 3 times for me to get the message.

I both loved him.....and feared him.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."

I love God with all my heart.....but also.....knowing Him through the Spirit living inside me.....fear Him. I do not want to mess up......or make Him angry......or have him hide His face from me.

Anyone God loved His creation......and sent His Son to the cross because of this love.

However to individuals in rebellion against Him:

1. He is angry with them every day (Psalm 7: 11)

2. He hates them. (Psalm 5: 5)(Psalm 11: 5)

3. He abhors them. (Psalm 5: 6)

4. He will one day melt them (Zech Chp 14) (Rev. Chp 19)

Do not be left out in the open when the door is shut.....as in Noah's day. God will save His children.....but His wrath will be upon His enemies.

Jesus is the door.

Jesus: "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Mt 10: 28)

Re: This preacher shocked everyone with this message! its terrifying to think he is correct that the vast majority of us are heading for eternal hell
It seems to me that God had a complete plan in mind long before He initiated His creation. This should be easy for us to understand because the accomplishments in our lives begin with plans. Unfortunately many of men’s plans are corrupt but God’s plans are always right and always serve His ultimate purpose . .

For example: We want to build a house to live in. First we have the idea rolling around in our head. Then we make some sketches and look in publications with different floor plans. We take our sketches to the architect and he says, “You have a fine house here.” How can that be; it is only a sketch. The architect is speaking prolepticaly.

The architect takes great care and draws up the detailed plans with all the proper requirements for a good house that will meet all the building codes. The blueprints are given to the builder and he sub-contracts out for the foundation, the framing, the roof, the plumbing, the electrical… and then when the doors are keyed we move in. We add furniture and landscaping. We bring our personal things into the house and fill the rooms and closets. It is finished.

In the same way, God made His creation with all the things we see today, earth, sun, stars, animals, people, etc. But there is more we need to understand as He also created THE AGES; time itself. And, as when our house is completed, God has a point in time when the purpose of His creation is completed; it is FINISHED.

Prolepsis: Use of a word after a verb in anticipation of its becoming applicable through the action of the verb, as "It is finished" for our Lord's eventual completed work including the elimination of the last enemy, DEATH, as in First Corinthians Fifteen. Take a moment now and read the whole chapter.

The death, burial, resurrection and ascension of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, was only a part, but an essential key part, of the process of God’s plan moving toward completion, just as our house one day was finally completed, as God’s process is completed it is FINISHED too.

This plan of God’s is continuing through the ages (God’s Eonian Purpose) and is only half done today but one day will be finished, completed. Have you read the chapter in Corinthians to learn how the process becomes finished?

The duration of the EONS or AGES, of which there are at least five, is called the EONIAN times from their beginning (Heb 1:2) to their ending (Heb 9:26). The adjective of the noun EON (Strong’s number 165) is EONIAN ( Strong’s number 166). The adjective of the noun EON is not ETERNAL because ETERNAL (there is no Strong’s number) is the adjective of the noun ETERNITY (there is no Strong’s number).

The fact is that not everyone (only the elect or believers 1 Tim 4:9-11) will be graced with immortal EONIAN life (usually appearing in our popular Bibles as “eternal 166 life 2222”) but one day everyone will be immortal as DEATH will be the last enemy to be removed from existence at the end of the EONS (1 Cor 15:26) because of Christ’s finished work; when Jesus said as He hung on the cross, “It is finished.” He was voicing that fact prolepticaly because in actuality the finished work will truly be finished at the consummation.

ETERNITY, a word that first came into use around the thirteenth century, is understood today as a TIME without definition, or can not be measured, but TIME of the ages can be measured a duration of which all is finished as Jesus proclaimed, proleptically, on the cross (pole) when He yielded His spirit to His God and Father.[googlevid]

Not "forgive". He says love your enemies:

Luk 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
Luk 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
Luk 6:29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.

Luk 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Luk 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

The requirement is that there must be something to forgive, before He can forgive.

If we don't think we are sinners He can not forgive us either.

But He loves also the sinners (the enemies), but not their sins.

If any can be forgiven their sins they must first admit that they are sinners and ask for forgiveness.

Ok religi-boy. Trying to turn fiction into non-fiction, does not make it real. All organized religion is used to keep the weak toeing the line. Fear is the tool...looks like you bought into it... and it only cost you 10% of your income.

Good point.

I think the lawyers and scholars who wrote the bible added the autoritarian sentiments, at the request of the elite (i.e. king james version). People still give authority to bible quotes, yet they don't consider: "How the hell does the person who wrote that presume to know the mind of god? how can they possibly know and represent themselves as being or knowing what god is about?"

This is how you know it's all bullshit. They usually say God wrote it, or it was inspired by god, just like they have to create lie after lie to explain away the obvious faults in the CHristian assimilation agenda. It relies entirely on fear; without the fear, there is no reason to listen, or follow. The elite need FORCE, and force is fear. That's why they must condemn uunbelievers as well; because unbelievers would be opponents to elitist phantom authority.

A great portion of the new testament is purely astrological story telling anyway... like gathering around the fire. They didnt have tv's back then; they had to look up.

Truth is,

God doesnt give a shit. It's survival of the fittest; and the fittest consume the moral. That's why you can still buy a bible at wall mart or target... the elite like to know theya re producing more manufactured morality that they can send to war and consume.

It is clear god is not concerned with humans and their politics. you heard that from a book written (admittedly, in genius) by a people that need a means of self preservation in a hostile world; the genius is in that is a non military, counter cultural assimilation.

New testament sought to mimic this, only as a tool for empire. The New testament has so many holes and errors, and transparent astrological infusions, that it can be tossed out entirely.

Look at the events since AD 1. Nothing changed; if anything, it all got worse. Nothing was solved.

Problem is, people havent realized that this bullshit yet. I think its because it is a simple solution for them... they can stop thinking now; every problem they had about existence is solved.

The truth is, intellectual evolutionary suppression via the bible benefits the few elite at the top, because when time stands still, those in power NOW stay in power, and the presumption of slavery and servitude inherent in most bible passages reinforces the idea that we are sevants to a higher authoirty... which ends up being, the ELITE.

Phantom authoritarian ideology represented as sourced from 'invisible man in the sky we never hear from' =

A presumption of slavery to reader of said ideology =

Indoctrination of servitude to the existing powers and elitist interests =

Suppression of mental evolution with 'fear/awe' imagination capture to keep society stagnant so those in power can stay there=

Indocrination EXPLOITATION by elite to justify premeptive and imperialist wars, through unconditional, immoral support of originators, who have taught their superior standing via genetics and locale=

Illegitimate indoctrination, FALSE ideology.

REJECT.

Re: This preacher shocked everyone with this message! its terrifying to think he is correct that the vast majority of us are heading for eternal hell
This is another thread with useless information which does nothing but preach to the choir.

Every religious thread here and other sites, jw's on your doorstep etc...is just preaching to the choir. The same, unfortunately, can be said for what I have to say as an atheist. I certainly won't be changing the minds of the fanatically religious over to logical thinking by telling you I have no answers for you when you ask what happens to us when we die. But at least I am honest and can say "I don't know". You all don't know either, you just won't admit it.

Why do you believe? Fear of death. It's as simple as that.

thats pretty much it.

Funny, once you rid yourself of the institutions: Like government, money, formal education, religion, and SES, the fear goes away.

Fear is an illusion. It is not real, but it can do tons of harm if allowed to.

Thereofore, anything built or based on fear (which sums up all the institutions we build our lives around) is bullshit.

So, we build our lives around intitutions that are based on fear. No wonder the world is fucked up. Of course, the elite benefit from this fear.

This guy is telling these supposed Protestants some of what the reformers preached and believed. Apparently he spent some significant time studying, unlike most so-called preachers today.

He's spot on in his comments about 'American Christianity'. I fear American churches are close to being totally apostate. Most want a false teacher to tickle their ears and make them feel good. Truth is a flame... it doesn't tickle.

If you wantsomeone to change what do you do..shout..threaten..scare them?

or love them and with gentleness ..joy..kindness teachings make them see the errors of their ways?

sure you wont win them all but Im ready to bet youll get more with Love than with fear..and you will make some souls happy by loving them..and that is so so very important rose

the REVERENCE of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

the word "fear" in your translation means "reverence" or "to revere"
 Quoting: Salt

The primary definition for the Hebrew word "Yur'ah" used in Psalm 111:10 is: fear; terror

Well then, if the Word of God is not true, then Assyria(Iran and Syria) will not attack Israel. See Isaiah chapters 5-11. They must attack for the 144,000 to be gathered. According to Haggai they will be gathered on Kislev 24 or December 20. It may be this year or next, my guess is we will see war in the middle east shortly because the Word of God is true.

Life is better without the judeo christian god, the stepfather that you never see, you only know the stories told to you by others (who offer no proof, and have not seen him either) that there is a big club on the mantle, you can't see, and you should be afraid.

Then, they tell you that when you finally DO see the stepdaddy you've never seen (who, by the way, chose medieval roman times to send his son, so he could be tortured and crucifed for no real reason, because we still had WWI, WWII, and countless other wars since then), he;s gonna take that club and smack anybody who don't believe in him.

so very true, only few will ever find salvation, another terrifying verse is Matthew 7:22-24

King James Version (KJV)

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
 Quoting: anonymous909

OK, you are pissing me off. You CLEARLY have not read the Scripture for yourself. You are a L-A-Z-Y 'Christian.'

The Lord is speaking about the KINGDOM OF GOD--a millenial reign.
DUH!

This is so very, very different than the New Jerusalem, or 'Heaven'. You know, Paradise?

Grrr!

OK, I'm done ranting now.

Hell is a fairy tale to keep the kids in line and it works pretty well.

If your going to church out of fear of hell, your going for the wrong reason. It's Love of God thats the right reason!

I don't think The lord would throw his children into an eternal lake of torment and fire ruled over by some evil Clown.

Santa, The easter Bunny, hell and the tooth fairy are fictions.

Nope, don't believe in it.

I apologize if i spilled the beans on the ester bunny and that upset anyone :)

Best Wishes,
