FACT: Russia did not exist at the time of Vikings.

FACT: Vikings did not settle in Prussia. There was active amber trade road to the north and hardly relationship could be hostile. Germans conquered it during North Crusade when Viking era was over.

"Viking" name is not specific to the Nordic. Prussian kings were called Vyting-as. "Vyti" means to fend off, and "vytis" knight (old expression) or (modern) Lithuanian coat of arms. Russian name is passed from Prussia through noble family relationship. Prussia and Russia, names told by different languages sound the same. Russian oldest chronicle "Radvilu kronika" (Radziwill Chronicle) is translation from Lithuanian chronicle (Lithuanian noble family chronicle) where Ukrainian (Kiev or ancient name Kaunogardas) king Rurik is called similarly (it is not the same). You simply do not call king from abroad to rule you, but they did (from Prussia) as they did remember ancient empire before Hunnic invasion. It did not mean Vikings were there. Anyway is it Russian history when it is clearly Ukrainian history?

Russia did not exist before Ivan the Great with events 1460-1494. They started from Moscow religious war, proclaiming as Third Rome and getting in one way or another Novgorod 1478, Yaroslavl 1463, Rostov 1474, Tver 1485, Vyatka 1489, Pskov 1510, etc. These areas were not only culturally and ethnically different.

FACT: This name comes from Prussian town in the delta of Nemunas. It was important trade hub in ancient times. It means "glowing". Look at German name to find something familiar.

You are not stating facts, just political views. Very known from the time of SS divisions within your country.

We just have digging in Macedonia and found that Alexander the great has proto Slavic origin.

You see, it was THAT SLAVIC PEOPLE WERE ANCIENT PEOPLE.
You say today Slavs, but before they were Veneti, Vendi.
From that name comes today Venecia (Venetia) and Viena (in roman times was Vendena).
All toponims in Romania, Hungary, even in Finland bear proto Slavic names.
Why is it that I can Understand Vedic language and sanskrit, and in the same manner as in Slavic languages , the verbs end with ti.
Avestan Language i can understand 80 percentage. This says something of the roots of Persia as a Empire.
THE GOTHS, OR SHALL I SAY KOSSAKS (GOATH ON LATIN IS KOZA IN SLAVIC) WERE SLAVIC.
Rus people , are just a OF SHORE of this Slavic world.
Sweeden or Suebi or Suerbi is Slavic name for the god of warriors SORBON.
If you analyse today 320 million Slavs and Sweden, a country of 5-8 minions, IT IS VERY CLEAR WHO GIVE WHO INFLUENCE AND IDENTITY. In the past One of the Gothic (Slavic) tribes came to Sweden and mixed with the population.
PRUSSIA EQUALS RUSSIA, or po Russia, means along Russia. In the same manner as Po Merania , or Po Morania , means along the See in my language.
That is because Russians were considered all Slavs in one point of history, even the Polish people. Polish language is almost the same as Rus language.
We, the Slavic people have unfortunate destiny to be separated by religion. Before Vatican existed Slavs were much west, till Denmark, whole East of Germany Berlin was Branibor.
However this will pass, and One day All Slavic people will be united.

There is an ancient Persian story (before Islam) about Rostam and Sorab. Rostam had a son called Sohrab, who betrade him , taking Turk side in the wars. This goes MILLENIA AGO.
That is how Rus people are old.
The teriroty of Serbia in the middle ages was called RAS KA , AND THE PEOPLE RAS ANI.
Slavic name Ras, Ros, Rusi, Routsi, Rusi etc. means THE AGRARIAN PART OF THE SLAVIC POPULATION.
SORA, SERBI, SORBONI, SORABI, SERES, MEANS WARRIOR CASTE.
KOSSAKS, GOTHS, KAZAKS, KAZAKSTAN, KOZACI MEANS WARRIOR CAST (people who keep goats).
POLISCH, POLANI, MEANS FIELD PEOPLE,(PEOPLE FROM POLE) OR PEOPLE FROM THE FIELDS, OR AGRARIAN PEOPLE.
UKRAINA, MEANS PEOPLE FROM THE KRAJ, OR PEOPLE FROM THE BOUNDARY, OR PEOPLE FROM SOME country. HERE IN BALKANS YOU HAVE SEVERAL KRAINAS, AND KRAISNIKS.
SLOVAK = SLOVEN = SLAVONIA = SLAVIC PEOPLE.
MACEDON = PEOLE FROM HIGH MOUNTAIN
BULGARIA = BELGARIA= BEL ARIA = WHITE ARYANS (NOT IN THAT SENCE but totally opposite of your countries teachings)
ETC. ETC. ETC.

WHEN SPEAKING OF Rus people, you should consider analising ALL SLAVIC PEOPLE. DO NOT FALL DOWN TO VATICAN AND GERMAN PROPAGANDA. WITHOUT FACTS, WITHOUT LOGIC, WITHOUT SENSE OF REALITY.

SLAVA SVIM SLOVENIMA

BOROMIR, SKOPJE, MACEDONIA

ps. Ancient Philip , the father of Alexander founded the city of Macedon, named Pella. Pella is not corect. P and B are interchangable in Greek , therefor Bella City was the real name of the town. This is the same name as Beo Grad, Beli Gorod, Bio Grad today in all Slavic Lands.
It means White City.

Most of western symbolics came from Scythia and there is a lot to it starting from corded ware culture. Goth empire (Scythian empire) was the first known European empire which formed approximately 2000BC. It did exist long before that, but it wasn't of the imperial size, which included half of Europe. You don't have this in your history books as it was taboo in XIX age. Empire that defeated Roman empire, defeated Mongol empire and ended all crusades. It was enough to erase it form history for political reasons. This politics was dirty.
SS misused symbolics by taking Scythian symbols (like swastika, etc.), mythology and used it for purposes that are not related.
Lets look at modern map that defines area of Baltic names
[link to www.muenster.org]

The thing is that Scythians did use their language and symbolics to mark all the lands they were traveling to in a systematical way. This way many historically educated Lithuanians are having fun just by reading nonsense. That is not a joke or something like that. Some slavic nations were eager to rename everything after conquest too and these names are not included. It is because we can still understand meaning in our language literally. Our language is oldest in Europe as we were the last who followed the laws of this empire (federation and democracy even during middle-ages), defended it successfully, and kept the language, traditions.
Scythia (Greeks called by this name) was called by Romans Sarmatia. Sarmatia did break into two peaces Sarmatia Europea and Sarmatia Asiatica. Dacia was defeated (106AD) by Roman empire forming Romania. Hunns invaded forming Hungary. Ostrogoth and Visigoth run from this invasion (real names are Godos and Gudas). Ostrogoth form Italy and their language from Latin (410AD occupation, with Byzantine empire claiming it back in 552AD), Visigoth form Spain and Spanish language from Latin. Other places did break into Germanic part, Austarike (it is Osterreich, meaning Austria (austa[baltic]=ost[germanic])), Gardarike (Gardinas as capital), Kaunogardas (also capital).
Thracian, Dacian, Illyrian, Getae (Romans did call by this name) are Baltic languages that were used in this Empire. Pagan name did consist of two parts. This was a strict rule. First is noun, defining object, another is verb, defining action which is performed:
Austa-rike, has a translation and meaning sunrise(east)-rule.
Garda-rike, has a translation protected(fortified)-rule.
Kauno-gardas has a translation battle-protection.
Let's not forget Turkey, that has a lot of anicient cities (mysterious Troy) with names identical to modern Lithuanian or Prussian. The same Kaunas or Kaunos with numerous other is there too?

Avars from south defeated Sclavians forming new Slavic nations. Conquered Kaunogardas became Kiev (or Ukraine territory). There is a lot more, but hardly is it relevant.
Symbols had well defined meaning. From name or coat of arms you could easily understand what these people were doing, and where they were living. It was a tradition for people to introduce themselves by telling their name and family name, or name of origin. These names did contain all needed information. Late middleages distorted that meaning, but it still is recognizable once you track migrations of noble families.
Knowledge that is mainstream today is the result of wars that were raging between certain societies for 2000 years or more.

Slavic people did not come out of nowhere, they had their history and place of origin, but it wasn't in the North of Europe. Polish and Russian nations are the youngest of all. Aristocrasy of these countries was simply treated as "simple people" as they had nothing to do with other noble families or their origins. These facts are in the chonicles. That's why Czar's marriage with Byzantine princess (their former supporter) and symbolics, name taking from Lithuanian and Byzantine houses was needed. The same happened in 1400-1500s with Poland, when their aristocracy needed alliance with Lithuania. It could have been achieved only through marriages. Each part of federation had rights similar to independant nation and without their support in council this was hardly possible and this was impossible until their aristocracy started buying titles and coats of arms from Czech nobility. These marriages lead to appearance of Sarmatianism. It reformed Poland from absolute monarchy.

Cossacks appeared in Lithuanian part of Ukraine freed from Mongolian empire in 1300s. They were Slavic free people or free farmers that knew how to defend themselves. No more no less.

YOU ARE STATING GERMAN PROPAGANDA MY FRIEND. Your language and people were CLASSIFIED AS SLAVIC PEOPLE TILL NAZIS CAME TO POWER. I repeat BALTIC COUNTRIES WERE SLAVIC COUNTRIES, IN EVERY BOOK, EVERY ENCYCLOPEDIA, IN EVERY PAPER , TILL 30S . Slavs are the main tribe. And your country was born on Slavic influence, and of course German as well.
Just look at dictionary and compare your words and Polish for example. Or Croatian perhaps. Your country has idiotic philosophy that comes from nazisam, very known to me here in the Balkan. We have similar idiots here, such as Vatican Teachings that states, that Albanians and Croatians Were Ilirians, and that Serbs came from Russia. It IS IMPERIAL POLICY OF SOME CENTERS, NOT THE TRUTH. THE TRUTH IS THAT SERBS AND CROATS, AND BOSNIAKS WERE ONE TRIBE Till religions came , and they have separated, temporarily.
Your country is just puppet of Germany and the west. But will be RETURN TO RUSSIA VERY SOON. BELEIVE ME..

It seems you do not recognize German scientists like Nesselman (1845) and numerous other. Or you haven't seen anything written before 40's, or later that 90s. It is sad actually. All main Indo-european languages became classified only in XIX age. You don't have to look deep, to find out that some of Slavic languages are the youngest.

Will there be time when some will start making German language a Slavic or maybe French in the same way? Or maybe Slavic will become a branch of some Chinese dialect?

A lot of native Slavic speakers compare languages, some do that even for 20 years without any prospects to understand it. Not that all such people are not smart, on the contrary, some have even nuclear physics diplomas, high posts. German companies have hard time working with them, huge delays and lots of scandals with documentation language in Ignalina. I'm not even talking about Polish that protest a lot against the end to the simplified Lithuanian language exams.

Lithuanian language is much more complex than any known Slavic language and words are different. It is a problem for the ones learning it. It is ancient proto-language, the one that is closest to the Sanskrit.

Lithuanian: Dievas dave dantis, Dievas duos duonos.
Sanskrit: Devas adat datas, Devas dasyati dhanas.
Latin: Deus dedit dentes, Deus dabit panem.
Polish: Bog dal zeby, bog da chleb.
English: God gave teeth, God will give bread.

How much it resembles any of Slavic languages? Not much.
