Vikings also settled Normandy.
Norman comes from North men or men from the North.
So the Scandanavian influence on England has been huge, notably Viking invasions and settlements during the first millenium and then the Norman invasion in 1066. And then of course England went on to colonise vast areas of the planet.
Can we take this to the UN and get an apology and compensation?
