much to my amusement the spirits arrived early( beer), perhaps the oldest, most noble use of alchemy. Meaning chemistry . Fermentation!
Winter is allegorically just like fermentation. A time to stew on things a bit.
In the ground the abandoned fruit lies timeless frozen. Expectancy, mother of her seeds. In the spring her rotten body is protection and nourishment for her sprouting youth....

As she lay quietly muted by a thick blanket of snow.stuck!
What will become of me? Will I be fulfilled?

The wizard sits crumpled up in his chair by the cheery fire. Holly lays strewn about the oak mantle, twinkling in the candlelight. He sits comfortably placing words( potions) into his book( cauldron). An entirely different brew is in the works. He aims to create a new reality with the power of words.
