Nighttime comes quick
With a whoosh and a click
The shades are drawn, the shudders all locked
The children to sleep to a Chaldean dream
You bank on the fire to soft candlelight

The veil of Isis covers the sky in star spangled glory
To pause by the fountains, in moonlight they tarry
The ruins of Ur, the dashed temples of Angbar
The sirens of titans and the babbling Brooks of Babylon

Here the mind is torn between it's poles
Thousand rock and suns blue waters
Insect chains amidst daisy flowers
Pyramid the endless sand dunes cresting waves...

The howling winds etch the high cliff walls
To the lap of the ocean and the lone bird's call
And the monuments just disintegrate
Tonight we pyramid the clouds for inner peace
