What deficiency is in some people that they feel the need to equate everything with something mystical, or sinister? The misinterpretation of the fact that the highest point in the UNDOF Zone (Mount Hermon) being the highset UN base in the world, is silly at best... Why wouldn't a peace keeping force utilize the highest ground as an observation and intel gathering point?  no, no, the whole point of the 1973 war (massive casulaties and setbacks for all 3 sides in the war) was a cover to hand over the stargate.
