I'm Jewish and my suggestion is that you look into Daoism and Buddhism -- especially the esoteric practices. And Shinto is rather interesting as well. Moreover, if you really want to get in touch with "God", meditation and "energy work" are helpful practices. The esoteric schools associated with the above emphasize such. But, then, so does Kaballah. And you don't really need to convert to any religion to study anything mentioned here. Good luck !!
