Nothing is showing on the earthquake site. Quoting: withoutatrace Let us know if you find out what it was. Yeah i think i was wrong, it seems they had a military drill in the area. It was some cruise missiles that they shot on a target area..... damn i was a bit freaked out there haha. oh....please..... |

I live in southern California, and I think I've felt at least 10 in my 44 years. I even left the state to get away, but ended up back here. See this map, if you want a look at what we get ever day - we are the state on the far left with all the red, blue, yellow squares, those are the quakes - yellow for this week, blue for this day, red for this hour... [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] I know how it is, though, it's a very unsettling feeling, one that you hope to not feel again. Every quake can be that way, as you never know the outcome or the degree. First thing I do when I feel one is I go to the quake monitoring web sites to see if there was one anywhere near. I also do this because it's quite possible that what I felt as a small shake, was a huge shake some place further away, that did much more damage, and I was only near the edge of it. I have a lot of family in Los Angeles, so I always check to be sure they are OK as the little shake I got may well be them getting a destructive temblor. |
