Dude .... is there a page where i can look at earthquakes?

It felt like an explosion or something... and the whole house started shakeing... but it was brief like 2-3 sec

I am beginning to think it was an explosion nearby or something. Nothing is showing on the earthquake site.

Do you have mines or caves in the area? A lot of times an old mine collapse will feel like an earthquake.

Yeah i think i was wrong, it seems they had a military drill in the area. It was some cruise missiles that they shot on a target area..... damn i was a bit freaked out there haha.

Don't worry, you'll be fine. I live in southern California, and I think I've felt at least 10 in my 44 years. I even left the state to get away, but ended up back here. See this map, if you want a look at what we get ever day - we are the state on the far left with all the red, blue, yellow squares, those are the quakes - yellow for this week, blue for this day, red for this hour...

I know how it is, though, it's a very unsettling feeling, one that you hope to not feel again. Every quake can be that way, as you never know the outcome or the degree.

First thing I do when I feel one is I go to the quake monitoring web sites to see if there was one anywhere near. I also do this because it's quite possible that what I felt as a small shake, was a huge shake some place further away, that did much more damage, and I was only near the edge of it. I have a lot of family in Los Angeles, so I always check to be sure they are OK as the little shake I got may well be them getting a destructive temblor.

On second thought... I just saw your user name - I think it was an angel shaking your house, trying to get the devil out - that must be it.

Put up bug zappers.

It keeps those pesky things away.
