Anonymous Coward User ID: 5959206 United States 11/24/2011 01:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm "alone" in that the rest of my family went to dinner. I'm sick and in bed, so I'm thankful for GLP. Seriously, I've been thinking today about how much internet connectivity adds to my life. It gets a lot of flack, but if you don't use the internet INSTEAD of relationships, it is a good supplement. I am thankful for all of you. |
Captain Spaulding User ID: 5956747 United States 11/24/2011 01:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't celebrate Christmas anymore now that I know Jesus is a Myth. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5961466 Santa Claus is not a myth, google Saint Nicolas. He was a real person. The legend of Santa Claus and Rudolph and flying reindeer was based on psychedelic mushrooms. Fascinating story. Check in to it. |

Feels a little weird actually knowing I have somewhere to go for once. Gobble til you wobble. Anonymous Coward User ID: 4545733 United States 11/24/2011 01:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I love being by myself......we, me, myself and I, never argue and we laugh at the same things. We like the same food, and we're on the same schedule. Holidays are great, but the 'family' part is way overblown. This day and age families hardly even know one another, and the time spent together can get real awkward. Celebrate yourself......'cause you're special indeed. Expect the unexpected. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 4371313 United States 11/24/2011 01:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is my 11th year, although I don't actually "celebrate" anything on holidays. I just sit around and wonder why I got divorced. Quoting: JATMON The flip side to that coin is: you can always sit around and wonder why you ever got married. Don't get swallowed by the past and be thankful for the time you got to spend with her when you were married. And be thankful for today - each new day brings with it a chance to meet someone new. |
Orion_x User ID: 4495270 United States 11/24/2011 01:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah. Me too. I've got a dog though. People with families to share with sometimes don't realize how lonely it can make some of us feel when it's shoved in our faces by TV and the media. Not all, but I'd say most. That's true, I have a lot of family that I can't relate to. They technically "exist" to spend time with but there's not a lot of feeling. Been very lonely the past 3-4 years feeling like an outsider. I hope you do have a few people that make you feel loved to lean on. I just try to enjoy the holidays even though the people I do have to see I'm not close to. Days out, food, shopping, husband, mom, little one & pets and trying not to take anything for granted. God bless you, thinking of you both. |

ItsMaKa2 User ID: 1151446 United States 11/24/2011 02:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Alone here because my family don't understand me and I really don't feel like hanging out with a bunch of sheeple. Just gives me a massive headache to be around them. I don't even speak their language anymore if you know what I mean. But hey, I'm going to be opening a BlogTV and playing the TV show Jericho if anyone wants to hang. [link to www.blogtv.com] I'll start about 2:30PM EST, everyone is welcome to hang. Happy Thanksgiving GLP! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1118534 United States 11/24/2011 02:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I can't eat more than a small plate of food at once and find get together with relatives somewhat boring. I find the idea of gluttony as a way to give thanks to God a bit hypocritical as well, and if i hear one more squabble between two greedy little brats who won't even eat it fighting over the last turkey leg, there just might be a spontaneous ass whipping in tier future. I also find it pretentious to give thanks to God for allowing the white invaders to subjugate a great civilization, and basically that is what thanksgiving is. I am celebrating with a bottle of turkey, wild turkey that is and please, don't bother to try to cheer me up unless you have something in mind I should really be thankful for. Just breathing isn't enough any more, I'm tired of seeing evil prevail and everything good vilified and ground under the wheels of 'justice.. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 5956947 United States 11/24/2011 02:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | :( Ive been divorced two years now. Separated the last 4, and now divorced. Im kinda used to it. How many of you are celebrating it alone as well? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1585799 I am. But I have my 3 dogs and I'm not sad about it. Have outlived my husband and my siblings, all in all I've had lots of love and a mostly good life, so how can I be sad? I'm thankful for good memories. |

Coldreboot User ID: 1646746 United States 11/24/2011 02:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I hope you enjoy your pizza. I swear, store pizzas are better these days. I almost like Kroger store-brand better than Pizza Hut now. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5959206 Thank you. I hope you enjoy your meal too. Yea, Krogers store brand is not bad at all. Pretty darn good actually. I normally don't even buy name brand pizza cause I'm all poor and shit, but it was on sale. I'd rather be getting my calories from Sam Adams, but ya know...all poor and shit and have to work. |

Ratty ass redneck inlaws were here yesterday stirring up shtt, now today my own relatives will be coming to wage their attacks. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1182997 I wish I was too. Two 90yo grandmas that drive everyone nuts. I've been divorced for 5yrs so no more redneck, insane, child molesting inlaws If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already.
