So...I went mountain bike riding and took myself out to dinner. Had nicer day then if I had hung around with relatives. Oh well!! Quoting: jr 4302615 I like you! And I don't even know you! Next year, make plans for you to come back east and we'll enjoy our turkey "alone" together! LOL Sound like a plan? I've often been told I should be on the radio, so people could shut me the hell off! |

I meant some of us ARE alone, through no fault of our own (deaths, etc). And it can make you feel even more lonely when so many around you have families and are celebrating together. So I blow off some negative energy by posting here. I guess that's wrong too. I DO wish everyone a good holiday. Honest. I'm also alone today, and I like being with me, although I would never ever consider myself a loner. After many years of spending time with family and in-laws, I'm fine. The old ones are dead and the young ones are living their own lives with their friends and extended families. I'm happy for them. Happy Thanksgiving! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4436276 Read an article about how many men now a days let their wives break them down and be completely controlled. A lot of women (I'm one myself) have those controlling tendencies. Couple of years down the line, wife doesn't want to share a bed with a puppy anymore and goes out looking for a real man. Morale- Feminism and equality are great things, but a man needs to be a man to be attractive. So don't back down- be the man of your house, it'll benefit both you and your family in the long run. My son who is in his mid thirties has a wife who controls his every move! She controls every thing literally!!!, She is also his mother in a sad way. I have accused him of not wearing the pants in the house, and I wouldn't be surprised if she makes him wear a dress when he is home. It is a sorry situation for sure. you sound a little jerkish You sound like you don't understand life. |
