I think Ron Paul's response to Newt's retort that McVeigh succeeded was appropriate. That to accept an invasion of privacy and liberty by allowing Big Brother into our homes in order to stop terrorism BEfore it happens is as bad or even worse than to go after criminals after they have commited the crime. I also think that Newt has a point too.

It reminds me of that Tom Cruise movie where they see crimes before they happen and make arrests for attempting to commit them. RP, I think, is trying to look at removing the MOTIVATION behind commiting crimes.

I don't think the constitution and the USA was founded on protecting the security of its population.

I think its a cynical mind that believes that people who insist on upholding their personal liberties are avoiding responsibility for their actions. I think its also a cynical mind that believes that Libertarians cannot help but infringe on the rights of others. I think that a cynical mind believes that IT is being the realist when in fact they are living in a dream world.

I do believe that the security of its personal liberties I.e. religion, speeech, assembly, press, etc is necessary for a country to be free from tyranny.

Ron Paul's tip toeing is easily played off because it lacks the gravity needed to ground a real counter movement. The American presidential race is just one
aspect of the corporate/ruling family/banker/military planetary control grid anyway. We are entering a horror fun-house period of time that will eat through a few more elections before anything even close to resembling what Ron Paul supporters hope for arrives to be elected.

The populations have be mind-fucked and robbed into a malleable mass of complacency, ignorance, and anger that will take quite a while to unravel, especially within the empire. Remember, those who are corrupt have been and will continue to play us off of each other to one extent or another, through economic hardship and fears of security. That can always be cranked up a notch. It will be cranked up a notch. The roller-coaster is just starting to hit the first couple whip-snap turns and drops.

There's inevitable climax to the Ron Paul effect because of the path he's chosen to take and who he plays ball with. He can only say so much to be elected or stay alive seems to be the general consensus surrounding the man. What does that actually mean? Time, that's what that means.

Downfalls happen. Learn to watch your ass and learn to make yourself effective in longer terms. Work within your set and within your means. There are plenty of opportunities available to subvert the nastiest among us. We all know at least one player. Stay mean as fuck and show them where the line is from time to time, be it subtly or direct.
