I liked the theory of instead of the usa bailout, giving each person 1 million dollars, which is still far less than the bailout money, and everyone would go crazy spending and investing and saving and the economy would have been kickstarted.

Actually our economy would stop! If everybody were given a million bucks at the same time, everybody would stay home from work trying to spend their money. It's not much, and would also be given to the working people. This is actually an advantage for the working people. They don't get benefits now.
