Nailed it sweetie. Male. Purple can be nice but usually too "loud" for my modest feelings about it.
I always agree with others to avoid arguments. Right about wanting to connect with them more.
My wife is always shielding because I don't stick up for myself.
I do take good care of myself but always feel like I'm weak and too skinny.

I'm just now finally viewing the situation with a more mature, matter-of-fact attitude instead of letting my emotions get in the way, which had been causing me to use "the situation" as an excuse not to move forward in life and relationship, i.e. the victim.
