none of the fast food places or kmarts/walmarts are hiring, they are laying off.

ok a little advice.......Build a Resume! Even if you have minimal experiance make it look as full and professional as possible with the CORRECT layout. add in little bullets at the bottom with "thrives in fast paced environment" or "excells with teamwork" dont ask for full time everywhere! It is VERY possible to start a decent paying part time job to prove your dedication and skills to be promoted to full time. make a cover sheet/ letter implying why you would be an asset to that work place. You have to be able to sell yourself.

We ALL know most job interveiws are all BS anyways. make the employer feel like they would be losing an asset not to hire you. Its all about self confidence and KNOWING that you are willing and more than capable to make the company you are seeking more prosperous than they currently are.

that is complete bullshit. i have had 3 job offers from 3 interveiws in ONE WEEK!!! this is just people giving up...."well there are no jobs so ill just do nothing." its a bunch of non motivated lazy fucking people.

im 21 and broke btw....so im not in the whole rich old guy biased bracket. but i will tell you one thing! i WILL sucsessfully reach a point in my life where i am completly comfortable financilly. im tired of all theese "well the economy is messed up, or well there just not hiring" economy is falling right now. YES. But people are hiring. they are just not hiring YOU! YOU should change how he/she gets a job.

There is no way I could "sell myself" on a resume or interview without lying through my teeth. And I'm not a lier.

It depends what area you are in... some parts of the US are hiring and some arent. Around me theres barely any jobs. And if there is, they are hiring for the bare minimum of hours and bare minimum pay. I have my associates degree and cant get a job in what I went to school for. I got lucky and got hired at uhaul 7 months ago working 5 days a week(32 hrs), and slowly they have been firing and cutting people and right now Im only working sundays and 1 saturday a month Im on also. The 4 other people I was hired with arent there anymore. I got luckier a month ago and got hired at a powersports store as a receptionist but only work 2 days a week~ Im barely making rent and have 2 kids. I been looking for a 3rd part time job, or a full time job, or 3rd shift for months. But nowheres hiring :( So I feel for you~ Shit is realllyy hard right now.. And I agree: I have seen other places as well, like gas stations and other fast food places, that have signs that they are hiring and when I ask they say "well this store isnt but you can apply online and see if another one is" and was told the same, that if the company is hiring in general, even if its in another city, they have to post it in their window.

So I guess shilling is hot right now?

then i hate to tell you....you will not make it far. it seems you do not want to do anything you dont appreciate to come out on top in the end. so you will never come out on top.....it takes sacrifice.

Ya know what. Fuck you!!! I have two jobs, but both are part time and not cutting it. I have a college degree, my career field is currently politically unfavorable. I have have made many different resumes, I have been told that I am over, under, qualified. I have been told they would love to hire me but they had someone already in mind and were required by law to interview more. I have applied for any job. Each time I redo my resume for that job. I have collected no unemployment, welfare or food stamps. I am about to loose my home that I rent because I am about to run out of money. (Saved up so I could live five months without a job). Where are the jobs. I hope some day karma bites you in your dick.

i am 21.. i have been a general manager at an automotive repair shop.(started as a lube tech) . Decided i wanted bigger and better things so i am now in school for a license. and work in inside sales. awaiting the job offer i have for a commercial real estate agent
