Finally, people are starting to wonder wtf is going on.
People I warned years ago about the upcoming changes and thought I was nuts are starting to ask what is going on? If these people are starting to question it the problem must be getting obvious. I tell them this is nothing just wait and see. They still don´t believe, but they are starting to ask.

It has begun!

Re: Finally, people are starting to wonder wtf is going on.
In 1987 I had an argument with my brother. I said earthquakes, erratic weather and volcanos would increase. He told me I was nuts and he said those things always happen so how could we tell they were increasing? The argument was heated and we were shouting.

I suggested that one indication would be that insurance companies would get into trouble with too many disasters. I figured that since insurance rates are all based on statistics that if disasters increased statistically then insurance companies would go under.

What I didn´t factor in was the underhanded way insurance companies operate. When disasters start occurring they just jack their rates way up till no one can afford insurance. They have also just not paid. Those bastards love raking in the money during good times but when things go bad and they have to pay out they say "bye bye".

Don´t rag too hard on the insurance companies. Like any other business, they are in it for the $$, not to help their fellow man. Insurance companies are high stakes gamblers. They bet that you WON´T have to file a claim, and they get to keep the money. When you purchase insurance, you are betting you WILL have to file a claim, and will only collect when you do. Insurance companies just like to stack the cards in their favor...... and welsh on the bet to boot!

There is still much work to do. People need to start preparing. Even here in NJ the latest floods were so bad parts of it looked like New Orleans. Why not have things like a generator and extra food and water lying around.

Exactly Mr. Man,

I´ve tried to convince friends to buy a generator just in case but they´d rather buy their widescreen tv´s.

Some people still will not think anything out of the ordinary is happening even during the worst of times.

You guys are lucky! I still haven´t had my friends or relatives say that they´re aware that things are strange...

Even seeing a therapist cos it´s all just in my head still (and on the net...)

Waiting in eager anticipation!

bullshit, shop around, my generator is a 6000 and was like $450 at costco. i can run my whole house on it.really youd only need half that to make it comfortably through a storm, fridge, sump pump, heater ect... the hot water heater may draw alot but thats it.

I got a fantastic 1350 W generator from Home Depot for about $1100. I had an electrician put in a transfer switch so I can switch power from the grid to the generator with a flip of the switch. I got it more for my well pump than anything but it can run the whole house, except for the central air.

I picked up a honda 5000 watt to power my well and things like my boiler should I loose electricity. It´s portable.....I just plug it into the side of my house when I need it. It will run for 8 or 10 hrs on a tank of gas. If I needed it for days I´d need access to a lot of gasoline. I can only keep so much on hand for emergencies.
