I studies the universe, spirituality, and "The Secret" for a while...when things got bad after college, i really gave up and decided to try it.

In college, I broke my foot my junior yr...so the olympics for 2008 was out of the question, then I got a bf who was a basketball player at my college...we were together, it was great. then he got drafted to NBA and dropped me. This was 2008. i was devastated..heartbroken...naive. I flew back home (baltimore) and couldnt get a job, hid from my family basically from shame in my life (everyone just knew i would be an olympian)..I had no money, no job, but met a guy who was living with his mom from recent divorce. so I stayed with him at his moms house...tiny house. We were broke. we finally decided to change. We studied, watched the secret 10 times a day basically to keep us motivated..within 3 weeks of that...got a call from lawyer..a friend of mine (older man I used to take care of) had died and left me everything in his will....a house, thousands and thousands of books in his house. He was a book hoarder. Plus everything in savings deposit. Sold the house, started a bookstore....Applied for personal training jobs in hawaii that worked with my degree, got hired...flew down in oct. stayed in a condo until the paper work for this house went thru for the owner finance option. Working on starting my own track and field personal training business late next yr

Showing off is unattractive in a certain way, because it can create hard feelings and jealousy in others. That's her fault, because she knows or should know this. If her invitations are sincere, that makes up for it, because she is offering to share what she has.

One should not just communicate for purpose of boasting. Unless one is under some sort of pressure, one should have the other person in mind -- their needs, not just that you want them to admire you.
