I got a job offer and they pay for $400 dollars a month towards 10 different plans that they offer. Plans go from 600 to 1,300 a month. Does anyone know what the average is for an employer to pay each month?

Re: How much do employers usually pay towards your health insurance?
It varies widely. I've worked places where they paid all of it for family, some where they paid for mine and I had to pay the difference for family coverage. Right now, my insurance runs $1683 per quarter for just me. Family coverage is around $2900/quarter. The $600-$1300/mo sounds in line with most places. I'd say $400/mo applied toward that cost is a nice supplement. More and more companies are dropping their share.

We have one policy that is $32,000/year for family coverage. That is not a typo.

Depends on the company and your position. The company I work for pays 90% of our HSA cost and funds the HSA account $5,000 per year to cover the deductible.

Its not that conspiracy theorists are ignorant. It's that so much of what they know to be true is wrong.

Sometimes the truth sounds like an insult when you are not use to hearing it.

"The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive. ... Our own fight for the West does not begin on the battlefield it begins with our minds, our wills, and our souls... Americans, Poles, and the nations of Europe value individual freedom and sovereignty. We must work together to counter forces, whether they come from inside or out, from the South or the East, that threaten over time to undermine these values and to erase the bonds of culture, faith and tradition that make us who we are. I am here today not just to visit an old ally, but to hold it up as an example for others who seek freedom and who wish to summon the courage and the will to defend our civilization." In my own experience - I have always asked - and it has been whatever I am contributing, my employer is tripling the contribution. It depends the plan type though.

Current job is at a hospital and monthly cost is only $155 a month for health insurance. I guess I didn't realize how much working at a hospital really lowers the cost of your own health insurance.
