Can't really comment. I got married at 20 to a guy I had dated since age 17. Divorced at 31. Dated one guy around age 32-33 when we decided we were better off just as friends since we were both coming out of a divorce. Have dated the same guy from age 35 to now - almost 7 years. I've never played games with people. I do know women who have done this - joining dating sites for free meals - but can honestly say I have never participated. On weekends that we both have our kids, I cook dinner. On weekends that we have no kids, we go out and he pays (although we go in my vehicle, so I foot the bill for gas.) Occasionally we will take the kids some place - dinner, movie, etc. - and split the costs. But, not all women have the same mentality of Miss Sporty, although I imagine in the 20-something crowd it may be the norm. :( Yes, it is the norm, it's nice to hear from those in the minority. |
