For that I thank you for the post. But that is just psychology not law of attraction. I am not opposed necessarily to the idea of the law of attraction. But it seems like a poor simplistic and unhealthy philosophy overall. Same thing at the end of the day anyway. But it becomes dangerous when people claim to have been cured of cancer etc in seconds just because of their thoughts. Frankly I see that as a very irresponsible message to put forth. Similar to parents refusing medication t their children when they would rather rely on praying. |

Buddhism has been around for centuries... and "the secret" is essentially a rehashing of that, which some self-entitled greed thrown into it. Want to appreciate your life more? Read "The Essence of Buddhism" or any book about Buddhism. Do not bother with the secret. |

The video doesn't reveal the entire real secret, just a part of it. It's a good video, and it has great advice, like you need to be happy, and more happy things will follow. You really are capable of changing your perspective on a whim, and being happy whenever you want. Complaining about your job will only make the job even worse. But if you put on a smile, and act like everything is good, your job will be much more pleasant. But the real secret isn't actually revealed in the movie. |

Perhaps the intention was good, but in reality, most customers of this book would probably be the desperate ones. Just like I was before. It's good to hear about the good things happening to other people. Hey if it could happen to them, it could happen to me and you. My question is, so what really is the secret? In just a few words. None of the mumbo jumbo they included in the book or the movie as a filler. Just straight to the point. If it's "think positively and do your job, or do your best" then I suppose it's plain common sense. There's a lot of books covering this stuff already. So if there's really nothing new in this I suppose the book the secret is a con. A nicely rehashed and repacked point of view and opinion most of our elders have already told us in our youth. Like save your money. Do your best. Think positively. Pray. Work hard play hard etc. I know some poor blokes who work so hard and tries to keep a positive attitude (as far as I know) but surely not rich or successful. I also know some egoistic, cynical dishonest scumbags who are rolling in the dough so to speak. The OP's intention is good. And I thank the OP for reminding me about this book or way of belief. However if there is something I missed, I'de be glad to listen and hear what those who are successful with implementing this has to say, including the OP. |

The Law of Attraction is always in effect. Period. It's a universal law. People use books and movies like 'The Secret' to try and attract things in their lives, and often fail miserably. The reason? Because thought is cause. And most people don't know all of their thoughts which are causing their realities. It's only through concentration and meditation that one can begin to know their thoughts and know what is causing their reality. You can say positive affirmations until you are blue in the face, but if there is a belief hidden in your mind causing your 'misfortune', you need to know about it. |
