Police Should Come Under Military Command

For this suggestion, 2 Americans said to me "you should contest USA Presidential elections in year 2012"

Police should come under the command of military. This will silence the police and they will be tamed and well mannered people.

When police will be under military command or governed by military, they will be sent (rotation) to fight real wars.

When big bombs explodes, battle tanks go past, war planes drop big bombs, millions of bullets are fired then police will come to know "what is real war".

The biggest problem is police never see real wars in their lifetime but they have guns and good food. They move in cities and civilian areas. So many police officers think they are gods.

Military wars are the ultimate test of courage and strength and police should know this.

Who created the monster? I mean who started the police system?

Now many police officers think they rule this world and they can do anything they want.

I agree to a point. The police have become too enamored with their power over the last 40 years or so and have committed many crimes that if perpetrated by an average citizen would land them in prison. Police reviews of many of these abuses have been a farce. If it takes a few citizens to fight back to protect their rights...that may be what is needed.

I would have to know more about the specific circumstances involving this case but if a man wants to go to prison defending his property including his dog I guess that is his call. I would need to know who made the call about the disturbance..and if the man with the shotgun was drunk or on drugs and if he warned the cop to back off or he would be shot.

Police do not have limitless right to invade ones home or property and do anything they feel like at the time. It is unfortunate that the cop was killed but it is entirely possible that the cop was our of line and miss handled the situation to his demise.

Fantastic ! Now. Can this be repeated tens of thousands of times in the nation formerly known as the USA?

I think since Obama become president, police officers have shot dead maximum number of innocent dogs for no reason at all. So this was waiting to happen.

There is something seriously wrong going on in USA since Obama arrived.

Guns and high-tech Guns such as AK-47 assault rifles should be legal so that world people can defend their families from criminals, sex maniacs, rapists and terrorists.

There are serious criminal cases, corruption and harassment cases against many police officers worldwide. They must be fired from their jobs because they are burden on Tax-Payers money.

When police is not able to control the crimes, frauds and scams in civil society then Army should takeover instead of figthing terrorists in remote mountains.
