You didn't put 'breaking', nor any exclamation marks, in your title. Those two factors are the shit that attracts the flys.

Countries always give short deadlines for expulsion, it causes a bit of panic and if the embassy in question want to brief their spy's before leaving they have to take short cuts to contact them, this give the domestic security services lots of good intel on who the embassy is contacting before their departure. This standard practice in these situations.
